which date do you consider your "anniversary"

Leanna, on April 7, 2013 at 4:40 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 38

Me and FH were talking about this last night. Right now we have the date we became an official couple 4/11/11, the date we got engaged 4/8/12, and then next year we will add our wedding 3/30/14. We were joking that we should find the middle date and just do everything on that day. I was curious as to which date people celebrate things on. Ours are so close it's hard to do something each day lol. I almost think it should be the day we became official but the date we got engaged was a special day too! I know when we get married we'll just do it on that day.

Our anniversary will become the day we get married. We always used the date we became an official couple as our anniversary before.

We celebrate our anniversary on February 7 - the date of our second-first date (long story) and our first kiss. I think this day will always be special for us, but we will celebrate our anniversary after we get married as our wedding date.

I'm in the same boat as All Smiles; but I feel like, if that weren't the case, we'd just celebrate the wedding anniversary. We got engaged on December 22nd--we'll usually comment on it, but nothing more than that. =) It was its own special day, and we can remember it on our wedding anniversary as easily as we could in December, so.. just one day!

We celebrate our first date anniversary and will, continue to do so after we are married. We will, of course, celebrate our wedding anniversary. I don't think we'll celebrate our engagement anniversary, though. Probably a good thing though since my b-day is July 6, we got engaged July 18, and our dating anniversary is July 31

We never celebrated our "dating anniversary." Our marriage anniversary is the one that matters. The day we met was New Years Eve so it'll always be a special day and we might mention the day we got engaged each year but we would never "celebrate" them all with gifts and a date night or whatever.

We've never celebrated our anniversary. FH asked once if he was meant to do anything, given that I couldn't remember the date i said no.

I can tell you we got together in February on a Saturday but I don't know the date.

I guess we will have a wedding anniversary but if our other anniversary is anything to go by we will just not realise when it has been and gone.I think my Mam is more likely to remember than us.

Right now we just celebrate our dating anniversary which is May 4, 2004, but once we get married we will celebrate our wedding date which will be April 26, 2014. Since they are only a week apart we will probably just celebrate them at the same time. I want to keep celebrating both though. We don't need to do anything big, but just acknowledge both dates when they come around.

We celebrate our first date as our anniversary and next year on our engagement anniversary we will already be married so we will prob mention it but nothing else. Our wedding date will take over, and the rest will be remembered in the years to come...

We didn't make a big deal for our engagement anniversary. We usually went out to dinner or something for our dating anniversary, but that will probably just change to our wedding one. But it's not hard to remember our dating one, its FMILs birthday! We always joke that I was her birthday present!
