Which came first: booking your photographer or buying your wedding dress?

Photographer. She's a friend of mine and did our engagement photos and I absolutely LOVED them so she's doing videography and photography for us! I go January 5th to (hopefully) find THE dress!!

It was like kismet! I walked into Nordstroms with my mom looking for a dress for her... And BOOM. There it was my mom found her dress later at another store lol

I have our photographer booked. I still need to go dress shopping. I'm nervous and indecisive so have been putting it off ha

We booked our photographer in February, I bought my dress in October.

I bought my dress first, I bought it two months after we got engaged and we booked the photographer back in October!

Buying my dress. I know my wedding is so far out and way to early for my dress but the one I fell in love with was on sale so I went in store to try it and loved on even more. So that's how I got mine.

I bought my dress Black Friday before last (11/17) so my dress came first.

My dress. I got my dress on a whim. I went with my MOH for a fun try on not expecting to buy anything, no other BMs or sisters/aunts/mom could make it. And of course I fell in love with the dress and it was the only one and in my size!

They both came around the same time, but my dress was officially first!

Booking the photographer. That is one of the harder decisions:-)

As this is a second marriage for both of us, we have decided to go simple and small. We arent hiring a photogrspher but we still want puctures of course... so we are speeading the word to the few close family and friends we invited that if they take photos we would love to have copies, and between us we have 5 inexpensive digital cameras, so we are going to set them out early with notes to fill them up. Sounds like fun and we should get at least a few great shots

My dress. It was my grandmother's so technically it was made 40 years before I was born. Grandpa's mom was a bridal designer and made it for her new daughter-in-law as a gift. I decided when I was 6 that I was going to wear it, but it got lost when my grandparents moved after Grandma had a stroke. My cousin found it in her attic when she bought her parent's house all stored items included when I was 27 and sent it to me. I didnt meet my fiancee for a couple years after that.

Booked as many vendors as we could right away. I also started looking at dresses, didnt buy my dress till they were booked.

I booked the photographer first as well.
