Which came first: booking your photographer or buying your wedding dress?

Booked photographer. She was a friend of my husbands and her work was great.

No question the dress. That was in the first month. We're still finalizing the photographer...

Buying my wedding dress came first, although I was dreading getting both done lol.

I bought my dress first right after venue. Photographer came a month after. However, my dress was not a big expense, only $43 🤷🏻‍♀️

I believe i booked my photographer first.

I bought the dress a couple of months ago ... still no photographer

I literally bought my dress and booked my photographer on the same day. Was no expecting that to happen, but I feel like I just tackled two huge hurdles and I can sigh a little bit over the holiday.

Booking my photographer! Photography was the most important thing for me to book and only booked my venue first to guarantee the date we wanted to hire the photographer for. It took me a while to find a photographer with the kind of style I like. The dress and photographer were probably the most important decisions to me but I knew the dress was much less time sensitive for me.

Photographer has been booked for two months, still haven't found my dress!

I truly don't remember at this point lol. Long engagement problems. I know I chose my dress July 2017 and I think we booked the photographer that summer too.

I booked the photographer way before I bought the dress. As far as budget goes, I figured the dress budget was the easiest to cut if necessary.

Photos and my dress were my top two things. I said, even before I got engaged, that I didn’t care where or when I got married as long as I had a dress I loved and pictures. Because pictures are really the only thing you have left after your wedding day, aside from your marriage. I knew who my photographer was going to be but I didn’t (still don’t) have a date set. I’ve talked to them and I know that all of my possible dates are free, and they don’t expect them to fill up this early. So, I haven’t technically paid them, but they were the very first people I talked to about the wedding.

My dress was my very first real wedding purchase, along with my veil, necklace, earrings, and small headpiece.
