Ceremony and reception are at the same place but the reception space was probably more important to us

We will be getting married at The Carl House in Auburn Ga. I grew up right around the corner and always wanted to have my wedding there. So I went to tour it to see if it's a possibility and it was. It was a dream come true and I can't wait for our big day!

The location is really convenient for all of our family and friends being right off the highway, the food is absolutely amazing, they offered a 6 1/2 hour reception w/ full open bar where most places were only 4-5 (our guests are the partying type), we have our own set of restrooms which seems a little silly but the thought of 2 large parties sharing a single restroom is a bit cringe worthy, and we have a second small room where we can set the kids up with a babysitter just across the hall so mom and dad can enjoy the evening. It was also the most inclusive of all the places we looked which I loved because it makes coordination so simple and being as high strung as I am it'll help me be a bit more relaxed day of. They also have a gorgeous grand staircase and the decor in general just fit the look we were going for.

Both! Our ceramony and reception are at the same venue. We fell in love with it as soon as we found it. When looking for a venue we wanted a place that had both. Since most of our guest are from out of town, we didn't want them to travel from one spot to another and risk getting lost.

I was drawn by my mom telling me that our church doesn't charge members for the venue and i was like cool free venue. Although my mom says its customary to tip the pastor a $100.

Well we thought we would have the ceremony at the reception venue at first. We then decided to have the ceremony at our church.
