Where Did You Keep the Kleenex?

Chauncia , on August 16, 2012 at 10:26 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 12

I tuned into my regular Thursday line up of Four Weddings and one bride pulled out a tissue from her bra during her ceremony to wipe her tears. So that got me to thinking how will I get to my tissues during my ceremony seeing as I am a big crybaby? I sure will not be carrying a box down the aisle with my bouquet! How did you/will you get to your Kleenex? IDK

I also had this question. I also put my hankie in my bra.

You could have your maid of honour hold some tissues for you.

Before the ceremony started, my MOH gave me a tissue and I stuck in it my dress (technically didn't have a bra). I didn't use it though and totally forgot about it for the rest of the wedding lol

Ok so I guess it's normal. I'm a major crybaby so I don't want to look like I'm doing a magic trick by pulling multiple tissues out my bra.

I gave my MOH a handkerchief (sp?) for a gift. She held it under her bouquet. It was sweet. Maybe you could do that

Give them to your MOH. I had my brother put a handkerchief in his suit pocket for me, but he couldn't tell when I was crying, so it went unused! Haha!

I'm thinking I'm going to stash some in my bra in case of emergency- but I'm also going to make sure my FH has some in his pocket so he can give me some during the ceremony. I'm a crier too and he loves to take care of me, so I think he'd be the 1st to hand me tissue any regular day, so he should have to live up to his husbandy duties on our wedding day Smiley smile

Oh, I have no qualms! I just said to FH's grandmother that I was going to assign her to have a box in the front row Smiley smile

I put mine in my bouquet!!! And when I needed it my MOH gave it to me. I needed it so much though that I just ended up holding it in my hand. Smiley smile I'm a huge SAP.

I had an entire individual pack of tissues in my bubbies for both my wedding and Cate's. I also snuck in a handkerchef as DH and I are both major cryers. But then again, my girls have been known to be able to accomodate a fifth of booze to smuggle into a concert. ; )

I thought I would have been the cry baby. But I only teared up when my hubby started crying reading his vows to me. My MOH was ahead of me and she had already grabbed some and held them for me. I didn't end up using them though. I just wiped my tears with my hand.

Haha MrsO so did a crumpled up tissue fall out of your bubbies when you took off your dress? That's funny.

I actually just had a couple of tissues folded up in my hand that was holding the bouquet. But, my dad teared up down the aisle so I handed him the tissues when he passed me off to H. Smiley smile

I didn't actually cry during the ceremony, just got choked up. I had given H a hanky that morning and he was carrying it with him so I knew he could help me out if I needed him to. Smiley smile

I'm planning to carry a handkerchief with my bouquet and have my MoH hand it to me if needed. Though I like the idea of FH having it. Hmm.
