Where did you get engaged

On our ship's balcony In the harbor of Genoa, Italy!! We were on a cruise and he'd planned to ask in Florence (2 days later) but was too excited to wait anymore.

We had made a thing of being on our balcony for departures. We were sitting there with our wine and he said "Wait a minute!" He ran inside -- I honestly thought he had to pee -- and came out and got on one knee.

We'd never discussed marriage, so I was completely floored.

Genoa, which is already beautiful, became that much more so!

On a Valentine's trip to New Orleans. We went to boozy jazz brunch then rode our bikes to the City Park. We were walking through the sculpture garden when he said he wanted to check out a big live oak tree. We were standing under it and he got down on one knee!

When we were walking around afterward, we met a group of women in town for a bachelorette party. We all gave each other hugs and took each other's photos, celebrating being in different stages of the wedding process. It was such a beautiful experience overall.

At home in bed

I had an amazing plan to propose at a music festival on New Years Eve that ultimately fell through due to my fiancee's lack of planning. So we decided to go to a closer music festival (we are a rave couple) but again that fell through because her follow through was awful. We ended up just going with my family to Reno. It was right after midnight and I brought her outside, it was snowing and there were fireworks in the background. I got down on one knee and told her this wasn't what I envisioned but I couldn't wait any longer. She said yes, we both cried, and kissed in the falling snow. It wasn't what I wanted but it was just as special.

We were celebrating our first Christmas in our new condo. On Christmas morning while I was wearing my chewbaca onesie, not a stitch of makeup on, hair a mess, holding our fur-baby. As much as I could have loved some romantic trip or something more grandiose, what he did was perfect. It is really difficult for him to string together romantic words as is and I think if he had done it in public he would have passed out or had a panic attack. It was intimate and incredibly "us".

In Fairbanks, Alaska where he is stationed. We went snowshoeing at Murhpy's dome which was the first place we ever went hiking together. It was like -10 out and when we got to the rocks he got done on one knee and asked.

I knew mine was coming because he asked me my ring size. I just didnt know when. We live out of state from our families and it was the night before we were flying back home for Christmas. We were under our christmas tree exchanging gifts. He did the box in a box in a box in box etc. It was perfect because we got to talk wedding plans the whole plane ride and got to tell everyone in person.

On my birthday in 2015... his mom, dad, sister, him and I went to Disneyland for the day. He proposed in my favorite spot.. the Tiki Room. It was awesome.. I knew it was coming... saw the ring box in his pocket... but didn't know when that day. If course by the time he did it my voice was going so horse from all the laughing and such.. that when he walked over and got on one knee.. all I could say was "now?" I said yes and he helped me back to my wheelchair.

I got proposed to at my moms house actually lol I said years ago that I thought it'd be a cool idea to get proposed to in front of our families just because I'd love for them to all be apart of that special moment. Just recently we moved about 13 hours away into a new state and made a visit home for a few days and that's when he decided to propose, remembering what I had said years ago and doing it in front of my entire family lol. I was shocked he remembered that I said that lol because after I did I said it didn't matter as long as we are together it'll be a special moment I'm sure. It was a beautiful day!

We had gone from breakfast with my two children and FH four children-Plus our 9 grandchildren. We consume most of the back of the restaurant when we gather there every other month.

FH left while we were all chatting away...

I turn to FH standing besides me with a stack of pancakes, with whipped topping and a strawberry with a ring sticking out of it!

I loved it.

Lady beside us says.... "I'll have what she's having." And glares at the male across the table from her.

I chuckled and thought. "Oh dear me, it's going to be a long day for him!"

So thankful it was a moment shared with our family!

Husband proposed on our living room couch. We have since moved, but I am sitting in the spot that I was in on the couch at the time as I type this now.

We got engaged at the beach. FH had it all planned out except the weather and time wasn't on our side. I didn't want to wait for the sun to set. I wouldn't change a thing.
