Where did you get engaged

So cute that your kids got involved! I love reading everyone's stories For us, we went on a date to a late movie because we were busy during the day and then we went walking by the river and the funny thing was is that I totally had the feeling that he was going to propose like since the week before! It was super cute though, it was like 10-11pm we were by the river and under the stars and he was telling me how much he loved me and such, then BAM! Ring, him on one knee, and me crying all the tears.

Temple Square. After the Sunday afternoon session of Conference. It was a sunny and drizzly perfect day. It drizzled for about 30 min or so.

Congrats! I came home dirty from a softball game in the hot sun to my now FH all dressed up in our new house we just bought and he proposed! 1 week engaged and I couldn't be happier!!

When we first started seeing each other we were long distance. Our second date we met in a town half way between us. We saw a movie and then went for a walk around the town. There was a park in the town square. We stopped and sat on a park bench and talked. And that's where we had our first kiss. We went back for our 3rd anniversary and he proposed on the same bench.

FH proposed in the garden at Ferrari-Carano Winery In Sonoma where we had our first date. He hid the ring behind a bench.

I'll keep it short, but it didn't go as planned at all! Makes me laugh. Was supposed to be at Crater Lake, OR, but he chose to propose dead winter. It snowed during the week he planned to drive us there. Ended up proposing on the "Hobo Trail" (as I call it) in our hometown while it was dumping buckets in the heaviest rain of the year. We then went and picked up his new gun. So romantic. *insert eye roll here* But I was still pretty happy he finally proposed!

July of 2016 on the beach at Mackinaw Island in front of the Hotel Iroquois where we had lunch, while we were on a road trip in our Airstream camper trailer! I had no idea it was coming!

While snorkeling in Nassau Bahamas. No I didn't let him put it on my finger until after we got back on the boat ! Lol

I booked a dinner cruise because my parents were visiting us, and they had expressed interest in going on one. It was supposed to be a nice double-date type experience that I was giving to my parents. All of us boarded and mingled over some wine and bread. We broke apart from each other after a few drinks for our respective "couple" times. My now-fiance pulled me up to the observation deck and we chatted, all snuggled up against the guard rails while just watching the waves go past as the sun started setting. He told me that he wanted to spend the rest of his life by my side as he pulled out a beautiful ring. I nearly started tearing up. He got down on one knee and placed the ring on my finger, and the lovely people nearby (that we had completely forgotten in our reverie) started clapping. I'm pretty sure we were both blushing like mad. I know I was.

After a while, we went back down to our table and proceeded to play a rather amusing game of "How long until the parents notice the ring." It was about half an hour, btw. They were good sports. ;p

I was living overseas that time. My FH visited me. We went to a fancy restaurant in one of my favorite spots in town (it's an observatory tower on a mountain that you can see the whole city). After we finished the meal, he took me to by the window and proposed with one knee down.

Although I kinda knew that he was going to propose that night (from the way he was acting) lol, I love looking at city night views so it couldn't have been more perfect <3

On the Hiwassee river kayaking! My sister and her husband were there and filmed it and took pictures. I had not even an idea! First time I had ever even been kayaking! It was perfect and SO unique!

Hey OP, we have a similar proposal story! DH took me to the beach where we had one of our first dates and proposed there! His best friend was in on it and went early to set up for the big moment! One thing though was that he proposed on April Fools Day, so I actually thought he was joking at first, haha! But when we returned home, he had coordinated our families to all come to our house for a BBQ (another surprise for me) so we could tell all of them!

He proposed on his birthday after his birthday dinner. We went away for the weekend and were saying at a historic resort and it was so so beautiful. He had our room decorated in rose petals, had romantic music playing, and on the bed was more rose petals and a dish of chocolate covered strawberries with "Will you marry me" written in chocolate.
