Sarah, best wishes for your wedding. Your wedding is set for the end of May, as you mentioned. I'm trying to figure out whether it's May 2021 or May 2022.
It's great that you've planned your wedding venue, DJ, and photographer ahead of time. But do you have a good plan in place for how much you need to spend on everything? Because if you plan now then only you can enjoy your special day.
Not too early! We got engaged Feb this year, and we're getting married April bext year and we've been planning ahead as many couples delayed their ceremonies from 2020 to 2021, some even until 2022 so I figured - plan ahead, less stress of last minute problems including not getting the venue you may desire
My wedding is May 7th and I have everything done minus attire. All my vendors are booked and on payment plans. I was told i booked just in time by my venue because that was the only Saturday they had available that month.. For a May wedding, I was told by a local bridal shop to order my dress by October. It can take up to 6 months for orders and alterations so definitely look into that as well. My bridesmaids and groomsmen have been selected and notified. We had our first meeting on May 8th. We have 1 year everyone. Let's get it going!
You should start planning now. I started planning in July 2020 for my May 2022 wedding to ensure I get the date, venue, and vedors I want. Especially with so many weddings getting pushed off because of the pandemic along with the US reopening, there is going to be a rush (the rush probably already started tbh) in wedding planning.
I think it’s never to early to plan anything! I want everything to be perfect. Our wedding is May 21, 2022 I have booked the venue and decorations we are going for a rustic with a lil bit of bling look, When a city girl falls in love with a country guy. And with So many people getting married, it’s never good to wait until the last minute. We’ll be planning and putting things together all year.
I don’t think it’s early. I’m already planning my wedding. I have my venue and day coordinator booked. I’m started to look at why centerpieces and my wedding dress. It’s best to start early so you’re not stressing later on.
You should start planning as soon as possible, with all the cancelled and postponed weddings things are moving fast lm I've had about 4 or 5 florists in the last week tell me they're all booked up for my wedding date, Sunday May 1st. And before that we were picking band and had 2 or 3 bands tell us they were booked on that day.
Ours is May 14th of 2022 and we're almost completely done planning. I wanted to get stuff done early so I can pay most of the vendors completely before the big day and just worry about tips
Never to early especially with COVID still in the air! Once I noticed 2021 wedding pushing back I took care of our venue, photographer, and DJ!! Made me feel much better knowing those big vendors were booked. I have been able to relax and now as today marks 1 year till the big day I can get excited and start planning some of the smaller parts of the big day! I feel much less stressed spreading out all the planning (and deposits lol) Best of luck!
My wedding is May 14 of 2022, and I'm done planning everything except for the caterer, ordering the cake, and the men's attire. Not too early. Less stress for sure!
Hi! I actually have everything booked except DJ and videographer. I wanted to make sure that I was ahead of anything that might have been pushed in 2020 or 2021

It’s never too early to plan things in my opinion. Especially something as big as your wedding day! If you have things in mind and like something, I’d start working on it right away. A little at a time. That way the closer your wedding gets, the more you have crossed off your list and you can relax a little. My wedding is May 2022 as well and that’s what I’m doing. I feel more relieved being ahead of the game! I’m also learning not to let it consume my every day life to the point where it feels overwhelming.. because that would defeat the purpose of planning ahead! Hope this helps
We chose our date a year and a half out on purpose because of Covid. When we decided to set the date for our venue we were kind of forced into a date by another couple choosing the weekend before our eventual date. Most of our wedding has already been planned out and we’re just nailing down the last few vendors for our decorations cake and music.
My wedding is May 14th 2022 we already have venue, dj, justice of the peace, florist, and photographer booked. We already had our engagement photo session and are ordering our save the dates next week to send them out next month.
Agree with planning early! We have pretty much everything planned and deposits paid. A lot of places had weddings from 2020 pushed back due to pandemic so finding places for us personally had seemed to be a scramble, so planning early worked for us!!
