Not too early, never too early - the sooner the better! My wedding isn't until end of October 2022, I already have my venue, my photographer and centerpieces made and my menu picked out

Agree with AJ, Never too early!

My wedding is September 2022 and I already have my Venue (which includes catering and our cake), DJ (which comes with an officiant) and my photographer booked!

My mom and I already started playing around with centerpiece ideas, and are looking into dying our own wood flowers instead of getting a florist.

I did book a lot of vendors early because I was worried about 2020 and 2021 brides who had to postpone booking up 2022.

Oh, you reminded me I forgot I already have hair/makeup ! I have a friend who recently opened her own salon but has been in the wedding hair and make up industry for a while, she was one of the first people I texted when I set a date, I don't have a contract with her yet but she has already taken my wedding date off of her calendar lol

Oh nice ! thats the one thing I'm really dreading since I never get my hair done and rarely wear makeup! And I haven't decided if I'm getting ready at the hotel we will be staying at or at the venue itself, or if I should go to a salon! I'd rather have someone come to me honestly and hire someone who does both hair and makeup

Get the important things done now! Venue for sure, and then the things that mean most to you. Taking into account the capacity, location, and availability of venues in my area, I actually only had about 3 to pick from for my March 2022 wedding. Things are booking, especially for the spring! Photo and Video, food, and Band were all super important to me, so we have those booked, and are working on Hotel blocks and florist now (I've already had 2 florists say they are unavailable on my day) Oh! And my dress is ordered!

Pick the important things, and start planning! Have fun!

It's absolutely not too early, and with so many 2020 weddings having been postponed you'll definitely want to get on top of your core items (venue, catering, photography) ASAP. I planned mine in just under 6 months, but that's because that's how long my engagement was. If I'd had a longer engagement, I would still have jumped on planning as soon as possible.

I got engaged in March, we set the date for March 2022 and when I started looking many things were already booked due to postponements. I would definitely book the stuff that is important to you (venue, photographer, etc) now so you don’t miss out.

Wedding is one of the memorable day in one's life. If you want to your wedding than you should definitely start planning now.

You have to choose your venue according to your wedding theme, select your dress, your designer, make up. All this arrangements require some time. It is good to start early and don't forget to make your financial plan. as it tell you how much you have now so that you can plan your wedding according to that.

Thanks so much for that. It all makes sense to start early now and especially when I'm doing all the decorations myself. My first marriage was expensive and wasn't satisfied with their work so I will be doing my own and I'm very excited!

With the backlog from 2020, I started planning early this year (January/February). A lot of vendors I looked up (like venue, photographers, videographers, hair and makeup) already had my May, 2022 date booked.

It’s not too early AT ALL! Our wedding is May 28, 2022 and I have pretty much everything completely planned and done. We booked our venue early January of this year and I dove right in and had most vendors booked within that month or the next! My fiancée said it was early but all the vendors I talked to said it was right on track.
