I'm planning for a May/June 2022 wedding too. I even feel behind sometimes because we don't live in the state we want to have our wedding in so we can only look at venues /vendors when we visit which is not often. Luckily, May is not a busy wedding month so I think you and I will be able to find venues and vendors more available! The more spread out in between wedding tasks you have to do, the less stress you'll feel and it'll probably be less jarring on your bank account to to spread out the spending. Good luck on planning!
I would definitely start now! With so many couples postponing, it's definitely better to start planning sooner in order to book your preferred vendors. Since you have a date, I'm assuming you already have your venue locked down, which is a great start. I'd definitely plan to book all of your other major vendors within the next few months
I don't think it is too early at all. My wedding date is 05/21/2022. I have my venue and DJ booked, staining my centerpieces and table #'s already etc. When I reached out to some venues, they were already booked for that date so I would say main vendors you need to book....get on it :-)
Never too early! You should always allow yourself adequate time to plan in case you have to make changes. You want to take your time and make the planning fun! The more rush, the more stress in my opinion.
I agree with the rest of the ladies! It’s never too early!! Especially considering how booked most venues are. Take advantage of the time and get it all booked and sorted out so you can feel less pressured as your wedding date approaches 😁
Totally agree with this because my wedding date was actually set for May 23 of this year but the venue i chose actually got closed down so i had to postpone it to next year and change my venue
Definitely agree! Not too early! I'm a year away. I have a venue, florist, and photographer/videographer. I have appointments with cake and hair/makeup coming up. I still need a DJ. And I'm pretty sure I'm ordering my dress online but I have to get measurements done. Centerpieces are completed and dishes/cutlery will be picked up overtime.
A year out is the perfect time to start planning! Especially now because 2022 is already filling up fast from people who postponed their 2020 and 2021 weddings.
My wedding is May 29,2022 and we have already done a lot of the planning. Granted we are a holiday weekend. However, venues and dresses and whatnot i would definitely start doing!
I’m a little late to the party here, but it’s definitely not too early – especially if you’re set on that date. Venues and vendors in my area (Philadelphia) are already starting to fill up through June 2022, which I’m sure has something to do with all the postponements from 2020. We’re getting married May 6, 2022 only because it was the last open Friday in the entire month at our venue (all Saturdays and Sundays were booked as well)! If you’re set on that date, I’d suggest at least securing your venue now. 😊
I don’t think it’s early at all, our wedding is May 21, 2022 and everything is planned too, most of it was actually done this month and every vendor said it was smart to book early just to be safe.
Our day is May 28, 2022 .. No venue but we got a harpist lol .. Appointments set to see venues for the next two weeks .. I don’t want this to be stressful for myself or groom for sure.. How are all the brides to be doing??
