Ours will be the gas tank off of one of our Harley's. No we won't be able to display it in our home, but every time we ride (which is all spring-fall) it will be displayed.

We are having our guest sign our acoustic black guitar in silver sharpies. We are big music people and we already have a couple of guitars displayed in our front room...so we are going to add that one to the collection. Smiley smile

We did an Eagles jersey with our last name on it and the number 13. We both work for the team & that's how we met! It didn't cost us anything except the sharpies to sign it.

I love everyone's creative ideas! This is mine, my budget says I spent exactly $7.33 total:

    1~ Inspiration

2~ Mine. Everyone can sign a petal (although I guess I should start calling them leaves, I'd originally planned on doing a flower instead of a tree lol), or leave sweet notes or whatever, then afterwards I plan on framing it and hanging it in our bedroom

My DH use to build cabinets for a living, even built some furniture in our house. So for our guestbook, DH built a bench. We had it on display at the reception with sharpies and everyone signed it, or drew a picture, etc. DH also took pictures of the bench during the building process and we had those on display for everyone to see. The bench now sits in our front foyer of our house for everyone to see and enjoy.

We did message in a bottle invites so to keep with that theme we are having a large wine jug and asking guests to leave a message of advice and roll it up, tie it and put it the bottle. We'll read them in our anniversary.

We are having a leather bound book with aged paper, similar to the book written in by Bilbo Baggins at the start of LOTR.

Each page will have an appropriate Quote from JRR Tolkein (Vinyl sticker) and a Photo of us. Most will be the engagement session to be replaced with various pictures from the wedding and reception.

Looking for a quill and ink well to sign in with, something old school.

Thank you everyone for the awesome ideas!! So creative!

We are torn between 3 ideas now...

--Some kind of object to sign and display (inspired by the guitar idea and others)

--Paper squares to be placed with pictures from the wedding later in scrapbook book (Trena B's idea)

--Wood slice with named burned in it, and signed around it

Time to research costs and supplies and compare now!!

I bought a very unique antique looking box that opens up. We are using old looking scripture like paper cutting them to business card size and under the lid of the box I am going to tape a sign that says Guests please sign and give us your well wishes and advice and place in the box for us to keep. Thank you. I love that we will have a neat box to have on our coffee table or bedroom for a keepsake forever to remind us of the beautiful day. <3

I love the wine bottle idea. Our at home reception (when we get back from the Dominican) will be at a winery, so that would fit right in!

I've also thought about a football and a football jersey from the college where FH coaches. He proposed on the field and football is a HUGE part of our lives so I thought it would be cute. Maybe we'll do both!

We are doing a puzzle guest book. FH and I are going to cut a shape out of the puzzle. The guests can decorate one of the inside pieces with Sharpies anyway they want with their signatures. We're going to paint the edge pieces and paint them black for a frame effect.
