What's special about your wedding date?

We were originally shooting for May 18th bc it was cute that it was the 6 month mark of our dating anniversary. Getting married on that date wasnt super important to us though.
We ultimately moved it up a week so it's not as special immediately. But I realized today its literally the day in between mother's day in the US and Ukraine! (At least this year).
But we're also going to play a special song dedicated to all moms at our reception.
I've joked with my mom that a son-in-law is her mother's day gift Haha.

    We wanted to the closest Saturday to our dating anniversary. I didn’t realize until after that just two numbers in our date will switch!
    Dating was 5/29/15
    Married on 5/25/19

    Just chose based on convenience and our schedules, not on anything sentimental about the date.

    We wanted June. Our venue had 6/22 and 6/29 available and we liked the sound of 6/29/19 better.. literally it flowed off our tongues better! That was it!

    Our wedding date is our eight year anniversary! As for our wedding "celebration" (honestly, it's not just a celebration, it's pretty much another wedding, and not a vow renewal and I hate that I feel the need to explain myself every time), there's absolutely nothing special about that date except it was the first weekend following our marriage that would work for some of our relatives that are graduating this year.

    I wanted a date that was "off season" to make things more affordable. I struggle with seasonal depression so thought having it in March would give me something wonderful to look forward to and we dont have anything going on in March (no birthdays or other special events). And March 14th is on a no kids weekend (both our exes have our kids that weekend) so we can just relax and enjoy.

    When I mentioned that date to my FH, he said "Pi day! Great! I'll never be able to forget our anniversary now." Yes, my FH is a dork. Smiley laugh

    We knew we wanted a late summer/early Fall wedding and a year long engagement. We were engaged on 8/23/18 and our date is 9/1/19. Also I LOVE that it’s the same forwards and backwards 🤗

    We got married on our 3 year anniversary! Our anniversary fell on a Saturday and it worked out perfect! That day was and always will be so special to us!

    We got engaged on August 23, 2018 so we picked August 23, 2019 for our wedding. He proposed while we were on vacation so I’m not sure he putuch thought into the date , however I was glad he didn’t pick August 24th because that is the anniversary of my Grandmother passing away.

    Nothing special about our date really however it is Pearl Harbor rememberance day. We wanted to get married the earliest Saturday in December and that was it.

    Yes! His grandparents came over from Ukraine. He was born and raised in the states.

    Definitely didn’t plan it this way, but it just happened to work out due to the dates that were available. We are getting married September 20th! FH’s parents anniversary is the day before ours (the 19th) and his sister and brother in law are the day after (the 21st). I’m sure we will end up all celebrating our anniversaries together!

    I origionally wanted September 12th because that was my grandparents wedding anniversary but now it's April 18th which is closer to my mom's bday

    It’s special because it is the day we became husband and wife 😊 other than that, we picked it because it worked will with my grad school schedule and my clinical internship schedule.

    We almost ended up getting married on August 4th, which is the same day H’s parent’s got married. We ended up pushing it back a week to work better with my school/internship schedule.
