We are doing 4pm because it's on a sunday and the little kids naps...our reception will be less formal and no drinking.

I think our started at 6:00, then had the reception at the same venue. Over at 11:30.

I'm having a Sunday wedding, so we're planning to start around 3-3:30. We'll be done with the ceremony by 4. An hour or so for cocktails and then dinner around 5. The whole shebang should be over by 8:30-9.

Sunset during that time of the year is around 6:30 and while it'd make for a beautiful wedding, the sun would be setting behind the officiant meaning no one who came to watch us get married would be able to see anything! I'd rather how a daytime ceremony and then watch the sky change from day to night as the reception progresses.

We had our ceremony at 5pm (lasted less than half an hour), and cocktail hour started at 6pm. We had our ceremony and reception in the same location.

Ya we were thinking of having the ceremony at 4 then the reception start at like 6 so we have enough time for pictures. there will be stuff for our guest to snack on so its not like they have to sit with no food. we are gonna try and get most of the pictures done before the wedding except for the bride and groom ones together. so Im sure that will help

My daughter got married on a Saturday at 4:30PM. The reception was held at the same place (a hotel) and ended around 11PM.

When I got married, the ceremony began at 7PM on a Friday. We didn't want anyones kids at our wedding, so 7PM seemed to work well. It was late November, so it was dark and the little kiddies were quite happy to stay home.

Our church has two spots for weddings: One at 11:00 A.M. and one at 1:30 P.M. It depends on what we decide to do for the reception--if we want to serve a meal, we'll go for the 11:00 slot and serve lunch. If we decide just to do cake and hors d'ouvres (I have no clue how to spell that LOL), we'll take the 1:30 slot and have the reception around 3:00.

Our ceremony can only start at 6:30pm as our venue is a museum and they won't start an event until the museum is cleared out and they have a chance to set up.
