What is your worst rsvp so far? You'll get a kick out of mine.

Just thought I'd share this lovely RSVP response with the WW community. I just loled when I saw it. Love that they changed the numbers I put.

Really they wrote "and guest"? How obnoxious is that!

Also, did you just receive it? Your RSVP date was 9 days ago!!

Are you ok with it since dad is 😩😂?!? How old is this person? Family or friend? Comical.

No RSVPs yet but I do have a sorority sister who just broke up with her boyfriend and she told me this at my shower and briefly mentioned finding a date. LOL joke is on her, she will not have a plus one as we are only giving them to people who have a bf/gf not a random unless it's a travel companion.

Good on you for keeping a sense of humor about this! There is totally a lesson here. Tell your well meaning parents they can't just say yes to someone bringing a date.

I had a friend RSVP with a guest online, before I even sent out the invites. Lol I'm cool with it though because at least I have notice!

I'll have to double check with her once we get closer...

It is a close friend of my dads, but also was our neighbor... so how about calling me and asking?! When we sent out invites we were at our capacity; BUT since they waited past the last dang minute I knew I had some regrets so it was ok. SO obnoxious though cause then I had to reach out to the person to ask his dates name. UGH people are so clueless about RSVP etiquette.

OH! and the best part about this all is that this was address to a 29 year old. This is from his dad... Really?! you cant RSVP/call me yourself?

Ive had this happen a few times now where guests have crossed out the number I wrote down for reserved seats and put whatever number they wanted! I didnt think so many people did that! lol I can see asking if it would be okay to bring a date, but to just scribble out the numbers is crazy to me.

Its not that I dont want celebrate with their new SO, but our venue is only so big.

Mine wasn’t nearly that bad. It was from my FH’s cousin that I haven’t seen in a looong time. I like her, but she can be..... extremely egocentric. She filled out the response card as if she was going and bringing a plus one, then whited everything out and marked not attending. I assume she found something better to do. Ah, well. I would have liked to see her because she is such a fun/carefree person to be around.

I was toying with the idea of sending a note to my parents and FMIL requesting that once invites go out, anything related the wedding go through me (my invites will contain my email/phone number and wedding website in the enclosures so it would be easy to contact me). I'd like no one else to handle dietary issues, RVSP information, additional people, subbing out a guest, timing (someone coming late, etc.). I'd like to get it all myself and FH and I address how we would like to. After reading your RSVP card, I am definitely going to let the parents know that they just need to refer everything to me and not handle. UGH!

Oh my. The guest didn't even RSVP for himself, but had his dad do it? Seat him and his self invited guests at the worst seats. Next to the kitchen entrance or the main entrance. Wherever the traffic is the heaviest. Smiley winking

I am hoping since we are giving everyone plus ones (or inviting their significant other) we won't have this problem, but I have seen issues on WW where people still tried to bring more than their allotted guests. So I am not holding my breath.

FMIL sent her RSVP with 2 extra people and a passive aggressive note. Long story short, she threw a fit that I hadn't given the officiant (her pastor) an invitation. If she had cooled her jets when she screamed at us over the phone, she would've heard me say I made the guy an invitation, but I was giving it to him when we discussed our vows and other ceremony aspects.
