What is your worst rsvp so far? You'll get a kick out of mine.

rsvps Just thought I'd share this lovely RSVP response with the WW community. I just loled when I saw it. Love that they changed the numbers I put.

I'm laughing because I could totally see some of my cousins doing that. It would be something like "my mom talked to your dad about me bringing this girl I started seeing and he said ok."

Honestly, I would rather have that then what happened to a cousin of mine. She invited a close friend that she knew since grade school and he said he wasn't sure he could make it. At the reception he showed up and asked my cousin if there was room for him because he was able to make it. The best part.... he showed up with 2 girls, a date and her friend.

I went to the trouble and expense of getting multiple versions of our RSVP cards printed with "a seat reserved in your honor" and one line for meal choice for the single guests, "two seats" and two lines for meal choice for the couples, "three seats" and three lines for families of 3 and so on and so forth precisely to avoid this sort of thing. I was super pleased with myself (read: horribly smug) because I thought that, with regard to clarity, it went even a step beyond a "we have ___ seats reserved" line with a written in number, and I was certain that we would thus be able to avoid any RSVP shenanigans. I was so SO wrong.

One person who was sent the "one guest" version of the RSVP messaged DH to ask where to write her two (TWO!) extra guests' meal choices since there was only one line on the card. "I'll just write their meal choice in the margins, ok?" Mind you, neither of these two extra people were a) a significant other, or b) someone we had ever met. It all got sorted out eventually, but there was a lot of outrage on all sides for about a day.

3 weeks after I got engaged a family (we aren’t close too and I strongly dislike) rsvp’ed on our wedding website. We weren’t even finished creating our website and we never announced it. Also we never said that we were doing rsvps online. Jokes on them cause the whole family isn’t invited

We were thinking of doing online RSVP's to save a bit. But a part of me wants to do traditional ones so I can see if anyone tries to get crazy like this. Hahah I'm laughing at how all these people are so clueless.

My most unexpected RSVP was one of our cousins...his wife filled out the RSVP saying he would attend, but their baby is due 3 days before our wedding so she and baby will not attend....but she's sending him to our wedding regardless?! LMFAO Smiley xd 😂

Technically with online RSVPs you can have it set to where if their name isn't on the list you imported they can't rsvp. So it's a bit more stringent then being able to write one in.

This is one of many reasons we're doing online RSVPs!

That is SOOOO funny! Until I read your next post clarifying the MORE I was thinking this was the most outrageous thing I've seen on this site. Thanks for the laugh! The "More" made me LOL too.

Question about this.... when I started making a wedding website I played around with the online RSVP and realized anyone could type in anyone else's names. How do you make sure no one messes with or changes someone else's RSVP? I mean, I guess it wouldn't make sense for anyone to do that. But. I dunno. Was leaning towards paper rsvp due to that but this post is making me reconsider.

I’m not using the wedding wire site. The one I’m using only someone who’s name is on my list can rsvp. So if I didn’t put your +1’s name down then you can’t just write in another name.

At the very least, simply write “and guest” on their place card to be petty.

Omg getting rsvp’s in the beginning was so exciting! Then I’d have people reply with 5 but only one name down. So now we have to ask them who else is coming and their names. Then I had people who are married and put mr last name with 1 guest meaning their wife! I addressed it mr and mrs why would she be the guest? And I’m past my rsvp date and still waiting on reply’s.
