rsvps Just thought I'd share this lovely RSVP response with the WW community. I just loled when I saw it. Love that they changed the numbers I put.

Sadly as a veteran of one wedding and gearing up for my second, I can tell all of you this WILL happen. Hey, at least they are up front about it - not just showing up with the guest. It is still wrong and super rude, don't get me wrong......but people have an entitled nature to them.

Yes ppl do, I have received calls, crossed out numbers, and plus ones!! It's so dumb, but I can't stress over it anymore. I have had even threats from FH sister about if I can't bring my boyfriend's niece, that he helps raise, he will have her weekend we get married. She won't be bringing her two sons. My FH only nephews to the wedding! My FH was heartbroken! So her invite is now 5 instead of 3, cuz he really wants them there, she give us no choice! Ppl just dont care!

I can't believe people write in their own numbers. It should be obvious the number was written in for a reason! I wouldn't dare. I'm actually pretty eager to see if anyone does this for my wedding. If so, i'm going to be glad to make that petty phone call. "Hello, just calling to confirm your RSVP, i noticed you scratched out our number and made up your own however, the number originally written is your only option. So will you still be attending?". Thats the nice way i hope to say it, cause i have a whole other way in my head that i'd like to respond lol

We invited one of FHs friends that I’m not too crazy about and his gf (at the time). This ex gf happens to be friends with FSIL and her bf so last time we talked to them they said oh, they broke up by we told her she could still come. Like seriously? I don’t think it’s up to you because we only invited her because they were together and don’t even know her really. Apparently now she is dating her ex’s cousin (who we also don’t know) and plans on bringing him. This was all told to us by FSIL BF🙄

I have to admit I did this to my stepsister when she didn't invite FH. I wish I had called her and asked why he wasn't invited. I did talk to her after the fact and she said we were dating when invites went out and I laughed and told her we had been together for almost a year, he was in the process of moving in with me and we had already booked our wedding venue. I was irked that she didn't do her homework, but after going through this myself I wish I had handled the situation better.

That's really annoying. We are doing online RSVPs so if the person isn't on the list, they cannot RSVP for them.

Omggg I'd be so pissed, that's so incredibly rude! Like if someone feels it was a mistake not getting a plus one contact the couple getting married who are the ones who actually know what they want and details. Oh gah.

My invites just went out this weekend so nothing like that yet but my dad and I had a conversation that was similar.

I told him that my 1st cousins SOs are certainly welcome to come but I was not specifically inviting them. Basically if they ask then sure but if not I'll save my money. I presume my uncle will call my dad about it. My dad well I would say of course they're invited. It then dawned on him that this is not his event and he is not paying for it so he didn't have the authority to say that was okay. I said yes which is why I'm telling you now that yes they can come.

I'm sorry, this is so rude! Some people just do not realize that even one additional person can throw everything out of place!

I we didn't send out paper RSVP's. However, we did include an email address for people to RSVP to. The worst thing that has happened is a family RSVPing one week before the wedding and wayyyy past the cut off!

I had my grandmother's sister call my grandma and say, "Husband can't come- so I am taking *daughter* instead... and her daughter wants to come to so we are bringing her" I've never met daughter or her daughter but "They really want to come" *faceplam*

To make matters worse- grandfather told grandmother to not even tell me/ my mom as "It doesn't matter". Yeah... It does. Ugh.

RSVPs are slowly coming in so we will see how this goes for the rest of the month.

My venue will be at capacity if I get 100% acceptance. Glad it's all working out!

Mine wrote in vegetarian (which we didn’t openly offer since it was extra) which wouldn’t have been a big deal if 2 weeks before I wasn’t watching her stuffing her face with pizza rolls with meat, and bacon wrapped jalapeño poppers. The kicker I paid for her meal even though she is not a vegetarian and they didn’t even stay for dinner!!! Are you kidding me!!!

I have one person asking me if she had a plus one with her plus one standing right next to us.

Everyone is getting a plus one, but that is it.

I would talk to your dad and asked he said it was okay. Also, why did that person talk to you directly. I would say sorry, but the invitation said one, because of our venue we have a tight guest list and need to focus on that.

This is something I am so worried about. Especially because we are having an adult only reception.
