What do people think about short wedding dresses ?

Short dresses are great, you need to get the dress you want and are comfortable in. White, black short or long. Heck it can be pink short in front and long in back. It's your day.

The dress i have seen is pink and short, more of a bridesmaid dress but I love it/!

I'm one of those people that prefer long dresses... But based on your venue (and the fact that its YOUR wedding) you do what you want!! I think the short dress for a small gathering is adorable.

I am off shopping at the weekend, hopefully this dress looks nice on as i would no what else to wear, way to many choices!

Do what you want. I think the short dresses are perfect for a little, unusual wedding. almost all of my Central Park elopement brides have cute short dresses. I love it!

For a church wedding or something, I wouldn't like it. But in your case? Sounds justo right. I would just make sure it looks special and not just like a white dress. Having nice details in the dress like lace or flowers or an appliqué or something make it feel bridal.

I think that dress is adorable and would definitely be appropriate for a wedding like you described. Like others have said, it's your day, so you should wear the dress you envision!

I've been down this road before Anita! Whatever you do, don't buy it online. I too am getting married in Vegas and hated the idea of having a long dress where drunk people will step on it. I ordered one online. I'd show you the pics but they're scandalous!

I ended up scrapping the idea once I tried on some long dresses. I personally love short wedding dresses but once I tried my dress on that was it! Hands down. I really hope you have better luck than I.

Thanks, Don't worry i will not be buying on-line, this is actually a bridesmaid dress in a shop near my home, i am a little worried about travelling with a dress from the UK.i guess i will have to wait till Saturday and see what actually suits me.

A short dress sounds perfect for your wedding. Try on short dresses. If they feel bridal enough and you love it go for it. If after trying short dresses you aren't sure, feel free to try a few long ones. I thought I wanted a tea length dress but after trying long and short dresses I just felt like more of a bride in the long one.

You can rock a short dress, especially for a DW. go for it!
