Max and I met during the summer between our sophomore and junior years at RPI through a mutual friend playing Ultimate Frisbee on Tuesday Night after work (or it may have been at Monday night bowling).  Either way we hung out a few times in a group of friends.  One of the mondays bowling he bet me an ice cream I couldn't beat him at bumper bowling (with some crazy made up rules to make it more fun).  I won but the ice cream shop was closed and our friend had all followed.  Shortly after I asked him to come to a party with me but we ended up leaving early and talking for at least 2 hours out in front of my apartment.  From then on we grew closer and have made it through a lot of on and off long distance so we could both persue our career goal.  First me moving to Nashua, NH for 7 months for a co-op after us only dating for about 6 months and then 2 years later he moved from NY to SC to get his doctorate degree from USC.   Once I graduated 6 months after him I couldn't find a job in SC and ended up 300 miles away in TN and that's where we are currently at.   In December, he proposed just before Christmas in a park near where my Nana used to live that I went to every Christmas with my family to see the lights and even planned a suprise engagement party following his proposal with all of my closest friends and family.  He set up a secret gmail account to get them all together and even skyped my Mom and Step Dad ahead of time to ask for permission.  I couldn't have a more amazing person to spend my life with. We are  counting down until he's able to finish school and we are able finally be able to see each other every day and have the wedding of our dreams.
