what did you do for your grand exit?

We did a "grand exit" after the ceremony instead of after the reception. We got married, walked down the aisle, walked out of the chapel and then went around to a back door. While everyone filed out, we waited in a room and then signed our marriage license. When we were done, everyone was outside waiting with flower petals in little cones to toss. I loved it!

Glowsticks!

We didn't do one.

Seconding the glow sticks. We would do sparkles but there are a lot of protocols our venue requires and it seems like to much to hassle with.

We had bubbles

We had glowsticks during the entire reception and it was just an AWESOME time. It kept a lot of our guests on the dance floor.

Errbody loves a good glowstick. We got varying sizes (necklaces and bracelets). We ordered in bulk from amazon and placed them out in jars.

People went bananas.

My friend had these glow foam stick things. They were really cool.

Whatever you do, don't get the glasses.

You can't assemble them before hand, and your guests cannot do them while drunk.

I second the glow sticks. I'd also like to add that Ian and I were the last ones to actually leave the venue. It was kinda cool lol. We hung out with the bartender and her husband who are professional dancers. The venue owner and get husband were there and we all watched them dance. They tried to teach us a few moves, but this white girl can't dance lol.

We are going to be leaving our wedding on a gondola! I'm so excited!!!

I love bubbles

I want to do sparklers or glow sticks! I want to leave the church with bubbles being blown at us but leave our venue at night with something that glows! I think it will make great photo ops!

Glitter!

We are not doing one. The last couple weddings I have been to have had grand exits and they either do them early so people can leave if they are not party animals or they do them late and people have already left and missed it..... I also feel like if you do it early in the night many people will go ahead and leave because they are already outside and they have already eaten and had drinks.... I personally would do a grand exit after the ceremony so your guests will stay longer

We're doing one when we come back down the aisle after ceremony. I'm filling cones with flower petals.

@Shelby that is so cool and I'm amazed your venue will allow it! I remember throwing glitter all over the living room as a little kid and it literally took YEARS to stop seeing sparkles in the carpet...
