what did you do for your grand exit?

I've been to weddings that did sparkers which were amazing. But my venue wont allow them

We're planning on doing glow sticks! Purple to match our wedding colors

I actually didnt think about this but now I'm all for sparklers or petals. as I'm doing a cocktail reception was sparklers still work for 3/3:30 p.m.?

Streamers...no muss, no fuss, no mess to clean up. They make for beautiful photos, and they are super cheap, easy and fun to make! You can even order them online if you don't want to make them! =) ETA: sorry this photo is a little blurry. My phone didn't want to do the extra work to upload it as HD...lol!

Now I'm thinking I want glow sticks. I have never been to a wedding with a "grand exit," but I was thinking it can be fun for our ceremony as we walk back. Ideally people can bring them with them to the reception? Thoughts?!

Damn...I was planning on doing clapping...I need to rethink this!

@Kait M. and @Kimpy, Our photographer gave us the option of doing our "send off" early, so that we could get the nice photos, and then we, and our guests just headed back inside for the reception! The photos turned out great, and everyone had fun! =)

Um...nothing? Our ceremony and reception were at the same place so no grand exit between the two and we stayed until the very end of the reception so no exit after the reception. We didn't really think it was necessary and our venue wouldn't allow much of anything anyhow. No petals, no sparklers (though fire sticks in the hands of people who have been drinking just didn't sound good to me to begin with), no nothing.

We're doing ribbon wands! Our reception is over at 5 so sparklers were a no-go since it'll still be daylight.

We're also doing ribbon wands because we can't do sparklers. I got the wands off of ETSY and a cute little sign to go with it.

I don't think we are doing an exit since we will be staying til the end but I love the idea of glow sticks for dancing!! I could see people dancing more if they had them!!

We did glow sticks. They were a huge hit because people used them on the dance floor and we had glow stick glasses too.

So instead of doing our grand exit after the reception I'm thinking I'm going to do it after the ceremony with a firework show. We will be walking from one cabin to the main lodge so location wise it will be perfect!

Using flower petals for the exit is the best idea, you can choose flower matching your wedding color theme. Use a odd colored carpet to make your walk stand out.

The goal is to head over to our honeymoon villa and consummate our marriage!
