What cocktail station would you enjoy- mimosa, margarita or mojitio!?

FutureMrsMerritt, on January 31, 2015 at 7:58 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 15

I think I really want to do a cool fun and interactive bar for my guests at my wedding, kind of like a "create your own cocktail/ beverage" station. My question is what beverage should I do. I have it narrowed down to a Mimosa bar with all sorts of different juices not just orange, my other two options are a margarita or a mojito ( I can play around with the flavors for this one, I won't be limited to just lime and mint. I could do any flavor and mint. However I know a lot of people like margarita's and mimosa's so I am really confused on which drink to pick for my station. Which would you prefer?

I think Mimosa because they are easiest to make yourself! Guests self-serving tequila and rum might be a tad difficult, unless the margs and mojitos would be pre-mixed minus the add-ins.

I love margaritas and mojitos best personally.

but not everyone likes that taste so maybe margaritas.they are easier to infuse different flavors into

@8815- yes some of this stuff will already be pre-made just because I don't want guest to have to take forever or be confused or it just taste plain crappy. So I am making sure to keep it self explanatory and simple lol.

If it's a self serve, a mimosa station is easy and fast. Prosecco or Sparkling wine (you could do a sparkling pink moscato too), different juices, Aperol or Campari (aperitifs), Cassis, berries and fruit garnishes.

Although I looooove this idea (and I'm a Margarita girl) I just wanted to ask if your venue will allow your guests to serve themselves. Our venue requires a licensed bartender to distribute alcohol. Just wondering if you've crossed that bridge yet.

    Margarita! If you're taking requests:

    Lady Margarita

    2 ounces silver tequila

1 ounce Cointreau (better than triple sec, trust)

    1 ounce lime juice

(Shake with ice. Strain. Serve in a glass — with or without ice — with a salted rim.)

    Cantaloupe Margaritas

    For the homemade margarita mix:

    4 oz lime juice

    4 oz water

    1/4 cup sugar

    For the margarita:

1 lb cantaloupe wedges (1/2 a 3lb cantaloupe, seeds and skin removed)

    4 oz orange liqueur

    6 oz silver tequila

    Salt, for rimming (optional)

    Lime wedges, for serving (optional)

    Sugar Plum Margarita

½ ounce of Don Diego Reposado Tequila

1 ounce of sugarplum deduced syrup (5 dry figs, 10 dry plums dry apricots, cherries, sugar, lemon, water, cardamom and ginger spices)

    ½ ounce of lemon juice

A dash of cherry liqueur for deeper color

Garnished with a fresh plum rolled in cinnamon and sugar

I'd do mimosas/bellinis. Have champagne and prosecco, different types of juice/nectars and let people go to it!

I would like mimosas if it was me. If not, then mojitos. Not a big margarita fan unless they're frozen
