What are you looking forward to?

Yasmine, on August 11, 2020 at 11:38 AM Posted in Planning 0 54

Aside from marrying your spouse (obviously), is there anything else in particular you are/were looking forward to?

1. I am soooo excited to see our son dressed all up (he will be 3). He will be carrying a sign down the aisle and I am just sooo excited for that (hopefully he cooperates lol)

2. My fiance and his groomsmen haven't ALL been together since high school so I am happy that they all get to be together for the weekend. It's been a longggg time for them.

3. I'm just happy to celebrate and party with everyone, mostly the partying lol

Other than getting married (obviously!), I’m most excited for our breakfast food, especially the crepe cake. I’m also excited to see all the details and things I’ve planned come together, and to spend the whole day just partying and having fun. We decided on a sunrise ceremony for the spectacular mountain views, and because the more time I have to be anxious and stress the more stressed I’ll get. This way we’ll get up, get ready, get married, have breakfast, and do fun stuff the rest of the day. We’re hoping Oktoberfest will be able to be reconfigured enough to go on and that we can spend some time up at the adventure park riding coasters on the mountain and taking the lift up to the top.
Our kids are 5&6 and will be our ring bearer and flower girl, I’m planning to have them walk together just so they make out down the aisle. They will know almost everyone there, but there will be a few new faces. Hopefully with dad at the end of the aisle your son will head straight to him! At three ours would have gone straight for grandma!

You could also have your mom step out and coax him down the aisle since she’ll be at the front. I think we’ll have our kids go sit with my mom after they walk down the aisle and steal the whole show lol!

In addition to marrying my fiance, I'm so excited to get all of our family and friends together in the same place so we can celebrate with them all! A lot of our friends/family live hours away (some live across the country), so I can't wait to see everyone. Also excited for the food at our venue, and really excited to see how our wedding pictures turn out (since I love pictures!).

I'm most excited to have my grandpa walk me down the aisle! Unfortunately he won't be there for our minimony, but we're saving the good stuff for our postponed ceremony/reception!

Honestly at this point - Aside from marrying the one I love and uniting he, his son and I into a new family unit. I'll just be happy to take a uninterrupted vacation / familymoon. We are both essential workers and have been working non-stop since the world shut down and ready for a little R&R.
