Wedding Weekend in ny

Alyssa, on January 10, 2021 at 6:20 AM Posted in New York Planning 0 4
Hi everyone,

I am looking to host a wedding weekend in upstate NY. We would like to have our ceremony in a forest, followed by an outdoor reception for 60 people. Ideally, all we would like all guests to be able to stay on site. But we don’t want barn vibes. I fell in love with The Carey Institute for Global Good, but they are closing. Does anyone know of a similar venue? All others I have seen are not as elegant or require far too many people to meet their minimums. Thanks in advance for your help!

I would search via the venue tab on this platform.

Have you checked out Mohonk Mountain House?

It’s close to where I used to live and it’s a well known establishment. My cousin just went there for a mini honeymoon since their internal trip was cancelled. They had an amazing time.

That’s what I was going to recommend too! I haven’t looked into them for weddings but have gone there on vacation a few times and it is gorgeous!

    Mohonk Mountain House looks amazing!!

Have you looked at ElmRock Inn? It has a gorgeous garden / forest feel and has flexible packages for smaller sized weddings!

You should also check out Spillian, A Place to Revel, Buttermilk Falls Inn and Spa, Roxbury Barn and Estate (you could have your reception outside the barn, and the forest pictures are incredible) and Hasbrouck House.
