Wedding Superstitions - Wearing ring on left ring finger

How much do you buy into this wedding superstition ?

Superstition led to a tradition of wearing the wedding ring on the left third finger because it is said that a vein in this finger runs directly to the heart. It's a sweet idea, but science tells us that it's a myth. That doesn't seem to affect the left third finger's standing as the expected place to wear your wedding band. And brides who have an engagement ring and a wedding band often remove their engagement ring then place it back on their finger after the wedding band is in place, leaving the wedding band closest to the heart.

I will be wearing my wedding band on the bottom. It looks weird to me when people wear it the other way around even though it makes sense to wear it that way since you get the wedding band last lol

I wouldnt have it any other way. Will wear my engagement ring at the wedding and will switch so the band is on the bottom closest to the heart after

My FH entirely believes in this superstition, so if he had bought a single wedding band instead of the enhancer he went with, I would have wore the band on the inside.

I have a cradle band so one on top and bottom, but I will be wearing them on my left ring finger.

Yes, I will be wearing the wedding band under the engagement ring. My mom wears hers the other way (to make sure the e-ring stays on), but it looks weird to me with the set I have. So, more for the look than for superstition.

I will be wearing the wedding band then my engagement ring, only because I want a plain band so when I go to work or the gym I just need to slip the engagement ring off

Yes, I am planning on wearing the wedding band under the engagement ring mainly because our jeweler said you wear the wedding band closest to your heart.

Yes, this is how I wear my rings. I did consider wearing my rings on my right hand like my family does, but it didn't feel comfortable.

Yes I will. This is one of those traditional things that is really important to me. I think it looks odd to wear them any differently. I like the symbolism behind the wedding set and why it is worn that way.

Yup! Wedding band closest to my heart. Part of that is how its designed, its a claddagh ring, so that point of the hart is facing towards me, and the wedding band is designed to wrap around the point of the heart.

I only have one ring (didn't want a fancy engagement ring) and it's on my left ring finger hand, didn't really realize there was another option! lol.
