We are getting married on a Friday. A few guests are heading down that morning. (Four hour drive.) I know that traffic in the area can get hairy. I’m concerned they’ll get caught in it if they have to travel from the hotel to the venue. I can warn guests, but I'm not sure it'll work. I’m sure people would feel foolish arriving late, especially since Cincinnati city traffic is something they can anticipate, just not entirely so. Would it be in poor taste if I just listed the wedding time on our invitations as 4:30 or 4:45?
Here's the other part to my dilemma; guests will have to drive through traffic once more to get to the reception hall. Once there, we've made sure they'll have PLENTY of food and drinks.
We tried our best to plan around rush hour, but didn’t anticipate a Reds vs. Cardinals game to be scheduled the same night as our wedding after we’d set the dates. Now, we are just trying to make the best of things. :o)
