Wedding starts at five, should I tell guests it starts at 4:30?

We are getting married on a Friday. A few guests are heading down that morning. (Four hour drive.) I know that traffic in the area can get hairy. I’m concerned they’ll get caught in it if they have to travel from the hotel to the venue. I can warn guests, but I'm not sure it'll work. I’m sure people would feel foolish arriving late, especially since Cincinnati city traffic is something they can anticipate, just not entirely so. Would it be in poor taste if I just listed the wedding time on our invitations as 4:30 or 4:45?

Here's the other part to my dilemma; guests will have to drive through traffic once more to get to the reception hall. Once there, we've made sure they'll have PLENTY of food and drinks.

We tried our best to plan around rush hour, but didn’t anticipate a Reds vs. Cardinals game to be scheduled the same night as our wedding after we’d set the dates. Now, we are just trying to make the best of things. :o)

I am also on the fence with this one. We are having a Friday evening wedding as well. My main concern is my family! Its this thing I call "hispanic time" where people always run late. Once, my Godmother threw a party, she said it started at one, people didn't start showing up until 4! I am super super worried about this one!

As for what to do, I would make a nice note, kind of a reminder that there might be extra traffice due to a scheduled game in town.

My ceremony will begin at 6:30 and I will put 6:00 on my invitation. My family tends to run late and those who are on time, will not mind waiting for me. I have been to several weddings and there are a lot of guests who arrive late. I've waited up to an hour for a wedding to begin and I didn't mind at all.

I think you should go with your gut on this one. i had a feeling i should do that, i didnt, and i ended up sweating in the office of the church for an extra 15minutes for all the people who decided not to show up on time! if you think theyll be late, i say go for it. even if its just 15minutes.
