We met about 7 years while in school in Chicago.  We were both studying theatre at the time (he was getting his MFA in acting, and I was had started my BA in stage management).  We worked on a show together - but never really hung out independently.  I was definitely smitten with his smile and red curls though. Fast forward about a year, I was nannying one summer and would stop into a local coffee shop where he worked while the little baby slept. We'd chat, but still didn't really hang out. After FH finished his MFA, he moved back to the Twin Cities.  Every time he came back into town, he'd call me to get together.  There were maybe 2 visits before I made the decision to leave Chicago for Atlanta. Once in ATL, FH began writing me letters (I was pretty homesick).  He asked to come visit and of course I said yes, not thinking he would actually come.  The next letter he wrote me, he told me all his flight info. That first night in town, he took me to a nice restaraunt (he's a HUGE Top Chef fan - it was Kevin Gillespie's Woodfire).  Once seated, we started talking and I realized he was nervous, and that's when (duh), I thought to myself "Oh! We're on a date!" We started dating weeks later.  And after many weekends in Atlanta/Twin Cities, countless letters and long phone calls, I decided last summer to go against all logic and advice and give us a true shot: I moved up to the Twin Cities.  Happily, it was worth it - we got engaged 6 months later!
