Hi y’all! I am trying to put together a wedding playlist with a few show songs some hip hop to really get people on the floor dancing and just some upbeat songs. Any suggestions are appreciated

Hey Jaclyn, welcome to WeddingWire! Are you having a DJ for your wedding? If so, he/she should be skilled at reading a crowd to see what gets people up and moving. I know our DJ just told us at our final meeting that the 80's and 90's are BIG in weddings right now (who doesn't love the 80's, right?) and that hardly anyone makes requests for the new hits on the radio.

If you're building your own playlist to do your own music for your reception, that might be a good place to start! I've also been listening to a few "wedding" playlists on Spotify that have everything from mushy slow songs to stuff that people can really move to Smiley smile
