I did it all wrong. My only bridal party members are my sisters and didn’t ask them we all just assumed.

I feel bad bad now that I didn’t actually ask, especially since my one sister got a box from her friend but I don’t think they are needed either

Overrated...I just don't understand this at all, maybe I'm just old fashioned but I just actually met with who we wanted and asked them face to face, they didn't need a gift to say yes

I think they're overrated. There's no reason to spend money on cheap knick knacks to ask a question.

Overrated. I'm already giving them a whole lot during the wedding. I cant afford the initial proposal box. They were just as happy with me simply asking

I personally think that it's a cute gesture if your know that your girls will say yes. I agree with the person on here that says its pressures them to say yes if they're unsure. I will be doing gifts and totes or boxes for my bridesmaids but as for asking them to be in the wedding party I think something simple will be perfdct.

I think it’s slightly overrated. I can see why it started but it’s out of control.

I got one for a friends wedding and thought it was super cute. When it came to my wedding, the two I picked already knew 😂 I saved my money

I was told you have to give them a gift at the rehearsal or later. The purposel is not the thank
    You gift.

Over rated. What if the person is unable to do it and you got them some big gift? Them there is that strange what to do with the gift in front of us. Also I seen forums with girls thinking the need to spend all this money for a gift to ask someone to. Be bridesmaid.

I don’t find it necessary but if you can afford it I say do it. Is a nice way to get your party a present ahead of time for everything they’ll do for you. A way to appreciate them, thank them and get them excited.

I did it just because I love the girls that are in my bridal party which is my best friend and two fsil. I enjoyed making the boxes and picking out the items. I put in items I knew they would use so not to have excess clutter. So I guess underrated 🤷🏼‍♀️

Overrated! I either called or texted my bridesmaids. The bridesmaids are going to be getting a gift from me.

I wouldn't say you need to, but I wanted to propose to my MOHs so I made cards for them. I bought blank cards and asked all my bridesmaids too, but the MOHs got little gifts like journals and stuff.

I personally did not go out splurging on gifts but I still wanted to make the moment special and make my girls feel special so I created some sparkly cards and sent it to them

I honestly think this is overrated and an avoidable extra expense. It's a nice gesture though.

I didn’t do one. I just took my FSIL to breakfast and asked.
