wedding invitations on a tight budget

Lucrecia, on July 13, 2019 at 5:45 PM Posted in Planning 7 64

So at first i was going to order some from minted with my coupon for half off but it was still 350! I really don't want to spend that much. What are some affordable ways to make invitations myself? I would like them to look elegant, rustic is not my style.

I ordered mine through Ann's Bridal Bargain. They're the all in one. So invitation and RSVP. I used a coupon which they have promotions all the time and paid 55.00 for mine. I ordered 75.

I got mine off of elegantweddinginvites.com and I paid 187 for the invites and the inserts with envelopes for both. This was the sample they sent me. If you want to diy completely I would check something like vista print. They have so much on there.

I’m not sure you need to make them yourself. You can customize beautiful templates from Zazzle, Shutterfly or Vistaprint then wait for a 20-50% off sale (every few weeks). No need to print or assemble yourself.

I ordered my save the dates from vista print during a 50% off sale...I plan on getting the actual invites from either vista prints or anns bargain bridal during a sale as well. the prices are so cheap!
You could also design your own on the canva app/website and print them at staples/office max or even upload them to vista print and print them from there

I know it's frowned upon by most on this site but we're using paperless post. It's an electronic service. We bought 1000 coins(electronic) for $100. I could have spent a lot less but we have lots of events so I can always use the left over coins for another event. We can send hundreds of invites. You can still choose an envelope, script, inserts, colors etc. It tells you who opened it, tracks rsvp/declines, sends follow up messages to remind them to respond, there's a wall for people to post messages/pics. Links for your hotel and registry. I even added a spot for people to post the song that's gonna make them get on the floor. No stamps no lost invites/rsvps.

I think buying a template on Etsy for like $10 is always a good option as well. You can always print them at your local store and use a coupon. I did this for my engagement party and I spend about $30 in total with envelopes and all.

Have you looked on Etsy for a downloadable invitation that you can edit yourself and print locally. I just saw a few between $6.00-$20

We got ours from Shutterfly. I think we paid about $200. For everything. They also put our return address on our wedding invitations. Plus FH wanted gold lining (which was gold paper) for our wedding invitations.

Look at the all in one invitations on minted! We lucked out because the invitations we liked also came in the all in one style so we saved big time!

Minted is one of the more pricey ones. Check Ann bridal discount or visa print even Etsy.
