wedding invitations on a tight budget

So at first i was going to order some from minted with my coupon for half off but it was still 350! I really don't want to spend that much. What are some affordable ways to make invitations myself? I would like them to look elegant, rustic is not my style.

i literally spent like $75 for invitations and I continuously get compliments. You can even take other designs from other websites and build your own invite rather than using their templates. Great quality too and they always have coupons.

I did mine on Shutterfly. They were beautiful and I was able to customize it how I wanted. I spent about 100ish for 50 invites. Don't do minted. One of my coworkers who is also getting married in September did hers on minted and they ended up being so heavy that each one as considered a package to ship...she had 150+ tracking numbers by the time she was done sending them.

We ordered ours from China our theme was an elegant rustic feel our invites were definitely more on the elegant side but added some twine to bring in the rustic side. We ordered 100 invites that came with the envelopes, paper to print on and a little sleeve. We wanted a separate paper with extra information so we had to buy separate paper for that which we didn’t mind over all it cost us about $100 maybe less. It did take a while to design, test, and put them together but I love doing crafts like that so I didn’t mind and we saved a ton of money.

You can find templates online and then buy cardstock to print them on. That's what I did. Or Michael's already has like kits you can buy for cheap

I ordered mine from Zazzle because I couldn’t meet the minimum order from other places. Their designs are gorgeous, the paper is thick and vibrant and they have fun add ons like fancy envelopes. They honestly look more expensive than I paid! I’m personally in love with my floral envelopes.

I also went with Anne's Bridal Bargains. They have frequent sales. I got mine during a 25% off promotion. I got 75 for 68.52 total including shipping, and I got them in less than a week and they're beautiful

We downloaded a digital suite on Etsy and the shop owner customized everything and sent us the files. We printed 150 invites & RSVPs (includes envelopes) on Vistaprint for under $200

Have you tried Etsy template? Or how about Party City/company? Are there local colleges that offer art printing? If so a student might be willing to do them...

We ended up using Shutterfly and were extremely pleased! At first we wanted to save money and used catprint. However I wasn’t happy with their print quality after 2 back and Forths.

I so know your pain. I needed 200 invitations and minted was too expensive for me. Ended up going with Zazzle, and I’m so glad I did. $150 cheaper than Minted and Shutterfly, and I was happy to see that they have so many decor items that match the invitations I selected. The invitations arrived yesterday and they are absolutely gorgeous. I was a bit nervous because I customized the back with RSVP details (to save additional costs) and a picture, but the invitations arrived so clear and clean. I highly recommend Zazzle. You get lots of great coupons with every purchase. 😃

We ordered our wedding invitations rsvp cards and our thank you Cards all on Walmart.com
    they were awesome
I refuse to pay a bunch of money for something that will be tossed in the trash afterwards. We went towards Walmart for a lot of things we got for our wedding from invites to the bows on the chairs everything

Why is it frowned upon? It’s 2019 lol. I personally love PaperlessPost & so many parties I’m invited to, some weddings included, use PaperlessPost. It’s so convenient, they have lot of pretty designs & you can track everything so easily.

I wanted a very specific design for our invite (with a custom logo I made etc.), so we designed invite ourselves & sent it digitally through our wedding website. Our guests absolutely love it & also appreciate the convenience. We have a lot of people who travel for work often all over the world & having a physical invite mailed to them would just be impractical. Also a great perk of e-vite (besides costing nothing or very little) is that within first 2 days of sending it, we already got 25% of our guests RSVPs! We also included meal choices, songs to be played etc. It’s the best!

Get a template from Etsy! We paid $9 for ours and I print them off at Walmart on the instant photo printer for 25 cents a piece and they look beautiful. We did this with our daughter’s bday invites too and they always turn out wonderful. PinkStarfishDesigns is the shop we always use!

We used Paperless Post for our Save the Dates and it was completely free! I ordered 60 invitations from Vista Print and that cost about $70. It would have been $35 but we decided to go with fancier envelopes that had a pattern matching our invites. I’m really happy with the way everything turned out.

Minted is one of the most expensive sites! Google discount wedding invitations, and you will find many more affordable options. Also, my locally made letterpress invitations were less expensive than the normal printed ones from Minted!

I just did mine on Vista Print, using the coupon code CONGRATS, saved well over $100 before I added return labels and and shopping it was only $126
