Wedding Cake - Need to Have or Nice to Have?

Need to have! However a wedding cake can be done so many different ways - Cupcake bar, donut cake, etc. Not all wedding cakes are your traditional wedding cake

Nice to have. We’re personally doing a small cake to cut for just us and then supplying our guests with cupcakes since it’s a lot more simple that way and people can just grab and go instead of having to have a designated person cutting a big wedding cake

It was a need for me. FH isn’t a huge sweets eater. I’m opting for a small two tier cake and basic sheet cakes for the guests to help with the budget.

This is a need to have for me, but after shopping around and seeing how expensive it was going to be, I've decided to go a different route. I'll be making something similar to this for our wedding day myself (but for 100 people)

Nice to have. So many alternatives these days but we will have a cake anyway as it is expected among our crowd. So it became a need.

Nice to have, there are many pretty wedding cakes but it wasn't that important to us, with having cake with the meal and a candy table

Nice to have but I am not a fan of cake. I was thinking a little cake for us to cut and have that moment, but otherwise we'll have cookies, cupcakes, and an assortment of other desserts.

Need to have. Even if you have a different desert option for you guests, I think it's still important to have a small cake for you and your future spouse to share.
