After a 20 year best friend relationship and treating the bride as a daughter even paying for all the flowers for the entire wedding and other floral events for the wedding. I set the flowers down and even before the bride had seen the flowers i was asked to leave because I was wearing the same COLOR of dress as the grooms mother! I have not ever heard of such a thing as wearing the same color. Has ANYONE ELSE. Please help me I am about to toss out a very long time friendship.

@Jaci did you read the bit where she told someone she's sorry that her hubby never takes her out and doesn't pay enough attention to her? What exactly would you call that? Because I think that's pretty fucking harsh and rude to say to anyone on a WEDDING forum in the least. That goes beyond being playful or joking. It's distasteful and hurtful. So, if you still think it was ok, and there's no bulling going on, then I find it very sad and petty that people are willing to back people just because they're a "valued member".

Being called a troll is not bullying. JFC, bullying is kids who get tormented at school or teenagers who are hated and told by other kids to commit suicide. There are plenty more examples but someone thinking you are an internet troll sure as shit isn't one of them.

ETA: you can think what she has to say is harsh but that doesn't make her a bully. Perhaps google bullying and see examples of real bullying

How is that bullying? Sounds like she feels bad for that OP who probably aired her dirty laundry on an internet forum. I think you are exaggerating and confused as to what bully means.

@Kathryn you must have not read the comment then. It went along the lines of, "Sorry I didn't responds I was out with my husband because he cares about me. Sorry your hubby doesn't pay enough attention to you.". It was a nasty assumption that could weigh very heavily on the person it was directed to, but who the fuck cares?! Because a loved member said it, so clearly it doesn't matter!!

If someone really was hurt by an internet stranger saying their husband doesn't pay attention to them they probably need to relax

The term 'bullying' is very charged and serious, so maybe we just drop using that? Thanks Smiley smile

But as a reminder : name-calling and personal attacks are not ok, ever

@D - I'm so sorry things went off-topic on your post, and really sorry about your situation. I just can't think of any situation where it would be appropriate to demand someone leave based on the color of their dress Smiley sad

Crazier things happen at weddings. This is terrible, and my heart breaks for you. You may choose to forgive them to give your own heart peace. On that same note, to give that heart more peace, I think it's time to move on with other friendships and allow this one to rest. Cherish the good memories you had with them and understand that people sometimes do change, and not always for the better. Sending prayers of comfort for you.

Okay for one the MOG is supposed to blend in not stand out, now before y'all jump down my throat hear me out. Most MOG wear a natural color like beige ( I asked mine to match my bridesmaids)

I'm not understanding who asked you to leave?? Was it the brides mother or the grooms mother?

I understand you are hurt but when it comes down to it are you really ready to throw a 20yr old friendship away over this?

The fact you are asking us makes it seem like you don't want to. Think long and hard about this. It's the not end of the world no one was physically hurt yes you got hurt but at the end of the day it was just a wedding. There are more important things in life than missing a big party.

I'm sorry that this happened to you I know I would be crushed and hurt but I'd also forgive.
