I'd like for my guests to pay for their drinks because I'm from a place where I'm trying to convince myself that it's okay. My problem is, no one I know carries cash! Anyone know where I can rent a great ATM? I'd like to have one set up near my self-catered buffet so guests will feel absolutely obligated to throw cash at me but I don't know where to start!

Also, would it be weird for my grandma to write me a sizable check during the dollar dance? Is that considered tacky? Can she just stick it in my FH's pocket or should I have someone hold it for me?

UPDATE:

A cutesy poem will really set this sucker off!

You're at our wedding!

What do do?

Your pockets are empty

and your wallet too!

Don't you fret!

Don't feel grim!

Just use this handy ATM.

**$3.75 charge

AMEN.

Well, I am having an officiant come for free because he's not **actually** marrying us, and being **actually** married is the biggest expense, so I probably don't need an ATM. Well, except for the $20 dance part, because inflation.

Another money and time saver... DIY everything! But, be sure and assign these jobs to your 14 bridesmaids, because it's their job to help you with everything! They'll consider it a privilege and honor to do such lowly chores for you!

Not sure if someone mentioned this yet but don't forget to invoice the people that didn't show up to your wedding that RSVP'ed.

And don't forget to put on the invitation "Black Tie Only" because everyone should know this is your day and you want every man in a tux and every woman in an evening gown, but only gowns in shades of fushia and orange, to match your vision.

So if a few people from my "A" list don't show, should I call people my from my "B" list and tell them to head on over to the wedding?

I must admit I haven't read all the comments yet.. but how about an admission fee?

(My mind was like "what is this girl thinking" and then I realized you were kidding. Awesome joke!)

Don't self cater. Just tell your guests to each bring their favorite fast food.... problem solved

I totally have an open bar...for myself and my FW ONLY! if the guests want to drink they need to figure it out on their own. God what do I look like? Someone who is throwing a wedding and catering to the guests? Hell NO! this day is about us! Not them. They better have brought their wallets and a few snickers. People are not themselves when they are hungry. OH also please make sure you shower me in money! I like when it rains! Thanks in Advance!

Maybe just cut out the middle man and tell ppl you're having a wedding so you can register and get gifts but then secretly elope. LOL
