How they Met: Natalie and Stephen met in 2004, while working on the set of "Bye Bye Birdie." Natalie and Stephen started dating in February of 2005, while working on the set of "Once Upon a Mattress". The beginning of their relationship started with a box of chocolates, three mixed CDs (which Natalie still has), and pink roses. Big Moments Shared: On January 1, 2006, a promise ring was given, while Natalie was in Florida (for a marching band competition) and Stephen in Connecticut (he somehow was able to sneak it into a pocket). After three proms (one of which was crashed upon), four graduations (two high school, one undergraduate, and one graduate), trips taken together (e.g. Tampa Bay area, FL and Los Angeles, CA), and two big moves (Rochester, NY and Greensboro, NC), Natalie and Stephen have made many memories together. Yes, they have had their many differences, but their relationship was strong enough to hold on and they were able to work through it all. The Proposal On April 18, 2014, Stephen made the decision to pop the question. Natalie and Stephen finally had a day off together (they have opposite work schedules) and they decided to go to Charlotte, NC for the day. They went to Tiffany's to get a necklace (the first one Stephen gave Natalie) fixed - (Natalie learned to not accidentally drop necklaces, as people can step on them and bend the loop causing the chain to be stuck in one position). Lunch was appetizers at California Pizza Kitchen - there was this "double soup" where they served two soups in the same bowl side by side (somehow the soups didn't mix unless they decided to mix them together). On that day, Ford was having an Eco-Boost challenge - Natalie and Stephen were able to test drive and do a comparison test of a variety of Ford cars (and their competition) - they even were able to do two timed laps (Stephen did the driving, since Natalie doesn't know how to drive manual) at the Charlotte Speedway. After they did all the driving, they decided to head home and on the way home, they saw Mustang after Mustang (oh! It happened to be Mustang's 50th Birthday Celebration) - Stephen was in Mustang heaven. On their way home, Stephen and Natalie decided they were hungry and went out to dinner at Red Robin (Yum!), but Natalie's dinner wasn't so great. After they got home, Stephen was "sleepy" and Natalie had to work on some reports (yay! work! :-/), but she forgot something in the car. She asked Stephen, if he had fallen asleep yet (he sounded groggy), so she went to the car to get some test manuals (speechies will understand). When she came back inside, she was busy locking up and taking off her shoes, while texting back family about a conversation they were all having. Stephen asked, "Natalie can you turn around for a minute?". As Natalie turned around, Stephen was down on one knee and asked, "Will you marry me?". Natalie dropped what was in her hands and responded with something slightly out of the ordinary, "Are you serious? Is this for real?" Stephen said, "Of course, I'm serious. This is for real or I wouldn't be asking on one knee with a ring in hand". After much excitement and shock, Steve said, "You haven't said yes yet" and Natalie said, "Yes! Of course, I'll marry you". The ring was not only perfect for Natalie (it looks like a snowflake and her favorite season is Winter) it was also the perfect fit.

2483 days agoWe meet with our baker soon and we are still not sure what type (style) of cake we want. We are also doing cupcakes, so we will likely go with a smaller cake & probably fairly simple. That's about the extent of what I know. Let's see your wedding...
