Owner and baker Danielle Kattan completed her AA degree with top honors in culinary arts in 2006, and studied cake decorating under cake designer Nicolas Lodge. She worked as an apprentice under Chef Donald McMillan where she moved through the ranks to become the company’s pastry and cake chef. She also won first place in the dessert category for the Carr’s Kellogg’s “Make it Special” recipe contest. Kattan also spent three years in Thailand, during which time she completed the Thai Cuisine program at Le Cordon Bleu School.
This bakery chooses local and organic ingredients for their desserts, and fresh fruit where the recipe requires it. To create the perfect wedding cake for a couple, Danielle sits down with couples for consultations, and offer custom designs to get it exactly right.
