Alyssa, ours was about $20 pp for dinner and apps, and we supplied our own alcohol. Our caterer has about 90 reviews on WW, all five star. I think we spent about $500-$600 on alcohol for 100 adults. That OP is in Tennessee and I'm in Oklahoma, I'm not surprised at the price. I think she's confusing the alcohol fee with a bartender fee though.

I'm the only one in my department right now, and the frozen lunch I have waiting is not appealing to me at the moment. but i really, really need to save money.

That being said, i have frozen burritos and FH wants burritos for dinner so...justifiable cause for something else?

    Happy birthday @amanda!

@lauren I love your dress!! It's gorgeous. After all the alterations, it's gonna be absolutely perfect on you!

@beachy Already commented on your thread, but your e-pics are beautiful!

Sucks having to work, but I'll check in later! I brought steak for lunch so I'm pretty content right now.

ETA: mine was $115/pp including open bar and that seemed to be around the norm in this area. Some packages were much higher.

Ugh...Fail Bride...I'm not going to read all the comments so I'm just going to comment what everyone else a) has either said or b) not understand fully what's going on and make a comment.

And that folks is how you get 5 stars in a short period of time.

Ours was about $22-23 pp that included the extensive buffet, appetizers, chinaware, silverware, and basic drinks. We supplied the alcohol ourselves, and that calculates out to be an additional $6-7ish pp.

@Kels--I think that's part of it, I almost feel guilty using it b/c it is SO PRETTY and feel like I should return it...and I wear ALOT of makeup, so the guilt goes both ways!

@Jaci--def one of the signs that I needed to make him mine. His souvenir for me when he went away on a boys trip to another city a few summers ago was a LORAC shadow palette. The hilarious part is that he's a 250 lb former college football player, so imagine THAT walking into Ulta wandering around discussing eyeshadow...

@Matt, if your wife loves make-up, this would be a great gift if you can find it:

Haha Matt a makeup palette! Lots of color options all in one place. Most of them are eye shadow but occasionally I've seen them with blush/foundation/contouring options as well.

ETA: Jaci and Jessie beat me to it!

@Matt : They are combinations of normally eyeshadows, blushes, lip colors.

Often they are special limited edition releases of the colors and are only around in that set.

Kir- yeah- I really wanted the Alice and Wonderland one- but the colors aren't really something I'd reach for- it's a straight novelty package- which it is- it's visually STUNNING.

Kels- i'm sorry you returned it- it's just such a cool palette and packaging- but let us be honest- Urban Decay totally has our number LMFAO.

I bought the limited edition Tarte Swamp Queen Palette- TOTALLY worth the money.

    Next MODERN RENASSANCE!!!

Except- my car went kaplewwey- so not so much for me.

@JerseyJen- Yeah- I'm laughing- my base price was 85$/person- and that was BASE. not including the matre D that is required and then a set up fee. So with all that we pay for it's closer to 150-200$/person.

Kir1112- if you wear it keep it! It's good to treat yourself! It's hard if every hard earned dollar goes towards bills... you gotta make life fun and enjoy it!

My guilty spend is shoes and clothing >> makeup. xD

Matt- the big one posted above is probably to much- but right now what's been released- the Two Face Peanut butter palette or the Two Face Sweet peach (they actually smell like peanut butter and the other like peaches).

But seriously- the Urban Decay Alice and Wonderland palette- it's high end- and the packaging is visually stunning. Something that appeals to us make up magpie's. We like the shiny things.

No- you're NEVER going to use all of it- but that is 2,000% not the point.

My dad walked in to my bathroom this week and said "you shouldn't keep those books in the bathroom"

Dad- those aren't books. They are palettes.

I honestly have at least 15-20 of them- some are preset palettes- some are Z palettes I've created with single shadows.

Matt - She may like something more neutral toned... like urban decays "naked" palettes... they are such lovely colors & quality and are great for everyday wear. The alice and wonderland is a bit bold!

@jo : They do... and I'll buy something else from them soon... xD The alice colors were just soooo bold... I wasn't sure if I'd get the use out of them.
