HAHA Elk- mine was similar. Yours reminds me of the wedding singer.
After she responsed I said, "Fuck it, hire the videographer. Please bring the video back so we can use as proof for future potluck brides. Make sure he gets film of the guests running to the bathroom.
My response to that one was something like "Do you know how disgusted your guests are going to be when they walk in with their chafing dish of macaroni salad only to find you've hired a professional videographer to film the inevitable shit show (perhaps literally)."
@ Matt, what color hair and eyes does your wife have? And does she have colors she gravitates more towards in her day to day clothing? I know these sound like weird questions but can help narrow down which Naked would work best. @Jo is right that a makeup aficionado would prob turn their nose up at one of these, but they are a great basic for those that are just into basics or not super into makeup.
@Princess Consuela search YouTube and watch tutorials from people who used any of the Naked palettes you have for some inspiration on different combos that you can do. I've seen some graphics floating around on Pinterest too that could be helpful. Tons of possibilities and that might help you narrow it a bit
@Jo--if you're Platinum status at Ulta, every quarter they have 20% off what they call Prestige brands (read: all of the good stuff). So I usually save my purchases up for that and blow a wad. It took me a LONG time to realize that the Ulta Rewards program is WAY better than Sephora's VIB and has made me a frequent Ulta customer (every dollar you spend goes towards money off, they run 5x points periods quite frequently, the 20% 4x a year is more frequent than Sephora's 15% 2x/year)
Can I shamelessly ask advice for which Naked palette I should buy? I've been wanting to for a while, but I'm such a makeup weenie I just haven't been able to commit!
@ Lizzy...same questions for you. What is your hair and and eye color? Is your skin warm or cool toned? What color clothing do you usually gravitate towards?
@Kir, my hair is dark brown, eyes are darker brown. I don't really know if I'm warm or cool toned (I know, how have I gotten through life this far?). I think warm though - isn't it if your veins are greenish you're warm toned? For colors, I usually wear bright colors. Coral, teal, blues.
Hello everyone! I am no make up expert so i wont give any suggestions. Actually, I need to learn about make up because i am very basic and the most i do is mascara and eye liner. (I know how sad)
Everyone is all pro-naked palettes, but I love my tartlett matte palette and my kat-vondee light and shade palette. I love the all matte colors and no shimmer. I can get so much more use of of them.
@ Lizzy C, just based on that I would prob lean towards Naked 1 for you (and would "go" with more of your wardrobe since you tend more towards bright colors in the blue family)...Naked 3 would be great on you, too but might be one you branch out to once you've gotten used to 1. Best advice is to PLAY with it once you buy it, don't be afraid Watch some YouTube tutorials and look on Pinterest for others who have posted about using it. Def a great way to stick your toe in the wondrous world of eye makeup
@Mrs M, the ones you posted are both great palettes too. I'm pro-Naked for people trying to dip toes in water and branch out to learn basics and such!! I think they are great way to experiment and have some versatility, that's all
