Jesus!!! It was a simple quiestion. And to tick you off a little more we might buy her a bmw or Range Rover for her 16th.

It's what she's dreamed of for years?

My kid keeps dreaming of a pool in the backyard but there's no way that's happening. She doesn't need everything she wants, regardless of her grades.

Its great you can do that for your daughter but my honest opinion is dont over think it. venue-food-dj. all can be found here but i would make sure your vendors know the event and that its not a wedding. goodluck

Many vendors won't book four years out though, so be prepared for that.

Are you trying to get on this show? I had a love/hate relationship with it in high school. These parties are beyond ridiculous.

Leaving aside the fact that I can't comprehend why anyone would feel the need to host a 150 guest party, presumably equivalent in offerings to a wedding reception, for a teenager's birthday...

She's only 11! She may have great grades right now but she could be pulling Fs and Ds at 16 and be behaving like a total brat giving you hell. How do you imagine you'll feel after you spent FOUR YEARS (and God knows how much money) planning this extravagent party for her then? Are you also going to be spending the next 4 years saving for it? Is that why you need so much time? Cause that's a whole 'nother issue...

At least wait on this. You seriously do NOT need 4 years to plan this party. Wait until it's a year out and THEN start planning (if you still feel so inclined to give her such a lavish party in ADDITION TO the extremely generous gift of a car on her 16th birthday).

(*Edited for daughter's age when I realized this child is only 11 currently, not 12, according to party date.)

There probably aren't apps for this because throwing a sweet 16 that rivals a wedding is not necessary or common enough.

And if you have that much money to throw around... why not hire an event planner???

I haven't heard of any but I think its a great idea to throw a huge sweet 16 party. I have 9 year old twins (boy and girl) and I hope they'll want me to throw a huge dance party for them!!

Damn... I had great grades and all I got was the opportunity to work my ass off for everything I have... bummer.
