We had to push our wedding date back to Sunday, August 23rd. I’m struggling with choosing a start time. I love the idea of a 2 pm wedding but we want it to be semi formal. I don’t know if that would work. I’d love to hear your thoughts & know what you’re doing.

Hey girl! Our wedding was originally set for May 23rd. So we pushed it back 3 months. I really wanted to get married outside but I’m in Texas & the August sun is brutal. I’m thinking of having mine around 4 or 5. Stay safe!!

Most of the family lives in NY and the wedding is in NJ so its a two hour drive home for most. Plus we will get to see all on Saturday before the wedding because they will come down earlier
I’m a Sunday bride as well. We are staying later as most of our guests will attend church. We are actually going to church first as well. So we have a 6pm start.

I’m in the mid New York area (by Poughkeepsie so an hour from Albany and 1.5 from NYC). Our full timeline is 9 am for HMU, out by 12:30 (we have 8 people getting hair done and 5 getting makeup done), head to the venue, get in at 1 for light lunch, photographer will be doing the groomsmen photos while we’re eating and getting dressed, 1:45 photographer takes brideside photos, 2:15 first look (I’m doing it with my dad, not fh), 2:30-3 ceremony, 3-4 cocktail hour/ photoshoot of bridal party & family together, 4 introduction of Mr and Mrs, 4:05-4:15 all the first dances, 4:30 toasts, 5:00 intermezzo and then dancing 6 pm dinner then dancing 7 pm cake cutting and dancing, 8 we head out with a bang (sparkler send off)
