I just had to postpone my wedding day to a Sunday as well! My ceremony starts at 4:30-5 than cocktail hour, dinner, etc from 5-10. So i guess it is still technically an evening wedding but it doesn't end too late for for people who have work the next day Smiley smile

My fiancé and I honestly don’t know. We have a Sunday wedding. A lot of his friends work security and they work until 3 on Sunday, so he wants to have it start at 4 or 5 (most of them are off on Monday). But I think that is to late for a ceremony. Then again I would be fine if they just attended the reception.

Hey girl! I had to postpone and now have a Sunday wedding and i’m not changing the times at all! If people need to leave early then that’s up to them, but most people don’t stay till exit anyways!

We are a Sunday wedding and I think it depends what time you want it to end. We are starting ours at 3 pm , ceremony ending around 3:40-3:45 , cocktail hour from after the ceremony to 4:45 ish. Then because it's slightly early we will oh straight into our intro , first dance and parent dances which should take up 20 mins. So dinner will start roughly around 5:30 and it's buffet.

The bonus is generally people eat less and drink less alcohol earlier in the day so maybe you can save a little on that! Our venue’s standard dinner wedding package was like $200 per person but that included like 4 courses and an open bar which was totally unnecessary for an afternoon wedding. We cut it down to 2 courses (plus hors d’ouevres) and a wine bar, and ended up at $70 per person 😁

I’m getting married on a Sunday in November. My wedding is black tie and I plan on starting at dusk. The invites will say 6:00pm. I’m hosting at a private villa so going too late isn’t an issue.

I've heard of Sunday weddings. I would still have the same everything. Don't change a single thing about your wedding. If you want to have a semi formal wedding starting at 2pm do it!!

Yeah I totally hear you. I don’t think it’s too late if you did 5 pm. In fact, I may go that route. There’s just so much up in the air right now with the COVID-19 stuff. Best of luck to you!

You're welcome! Same to you! I've also heard that you don't have to go straight into dinner. Like if your want your dinner around 6 which is usually dinner time then maybe do like a slightly longer cocktail hour or have entertainment before dinner that can take up a few minutes.
