Staying together the night before the wedding - anyone else?

Also FH heard that the tradition comes from the belief that you shouldn't argue on the day of your wedding, so if you don't see each other all that day you can't argue! lol We both think that is a really silly reason not to see each other.

Nope. He's going to be in another hotel room somewhere in the hotel. I get the big bad as$ suite the night before. :o) I fully plan on popping advil PM following dinner so I can get a full nights sleep.

We did. We've lived together for 3 years so it didn't make any sense for us.

The two of us shared a double bed with two dogs the night before our wedding. ;-)

We are attached at the hip. I can't imagine not being together the night before!

I was thinking of the same. Spending the night together. I don't believe in the superstitious thing.

We will be staying apart the night before.

The night before the wedding, my bridesmaids and I are spending the night together at the hotel room. As much as I love my FH, I will have the rest of my life to spend the night with him (and have been doing so pretty much since we first met). I wanted to take this opportunity to have a memorable night with my girls. My decision has nothing to do with it being "traditional" not to spend the night with the groom, however. Just my personal preference to spend it with the most important girls in my life.

Glad to head were not the only ones doing it and yes we already live together which is a factor, and we are also attached at the hip lol.

No, I am staying in the MOH hotel room the night before. She will be solo at our wedding. FH is going to the casino with the guys and all the girls will be decorating the reception room and then hanging out by the pool/hot tub, then it will be a girls slumber party!

We get a big suite at the hotel we are staying in. Honestly we plan to stay in together the night before the wedding. We are together all the time and already live together so seems like a stupid tradition to us.

We've always stayed apart, so that extra night is just pretty much doing the norm for us. Lol--he is in same hotel tho, just another room.

We were going to - but we decided we want to stay with our friends. So the night before, I am having a slumber party with my girlfriends and he will be having a guys night with the groomsmen. Not because of tradition, but we just thought it'd be fun

My plan as of now is to spend the night apart. We are attached at the hip so Im not too sure how much sleep we will get but I like the idea of him having to wait most of the day before seeing me in my dress

Same hotel different rooms.. i told him since the bridemaids & i are getting up so early to get hair & make up done i didnt want him to be bothered

We will be in the same hotel but different rooms, she'll be with her girls and I'll be with my guys, I'm sure my guys will try to make me vomit from drinking too much as it is a tradition amongst my friends!

I spent the night before with him and the day of with him. He keeps me calm and keeps me happy, and it was such a nice day hanging out with my now DH. We went to breakfast together, ate lunch together watching ESPN, I forced him to eat and snack with me so we'd be well nourished and not hungry before the reception and it worked!

We spent the night apart. I went to a hotel with my sister in law and my MOH. We spent the night there since the MUA and Hair person were doing our hair and makeup on location. Its the same hotel that We would be spending the night at after the wedding. I loved the time away from him to get even more excited and really think and let it set in that we were going to get married the next day. I had a couple drinks with my girls then we watched a movie and passed out. My then FH had some of his grooms men stay at our house with him... it was really nice not seeing him until I walked down the aisle... it added to the experience IMO.

Probably same hotel but different rooms...We will be in Daytona for the Rehearsal Dinner the night before & I want to stay in the the HM suite by myself the night after the reheasral dinner.....I want to just totallly RELAX!

We are doing it for traditional reasons but mostly cause it's what our families want. I don't mind....We are doing most everything for this wedding OUR way, so we don't mind doing a few things for THEM..

Maybe I'll even have my girls stay with me, WHO KNOWS! & we can have a little slumber party.

I would but i will be sleeping with 2 of my bms and 12 year old girl.. fh doesnt like that idea so he will be hanging out at the hotel with a couple of friends and maybe a groomsmen.
