I'm not sure. I already have the something new and something old, something borrowed and blue? Maybe, we'll see if I can come up with things to include.

This is actually something important to me so I will definitely be doing it. I'm trying to track down a sixpence piece dated 1949. That is the year my grandparents were married. They were married 63 years before my grandmother passed and my grandfather passed almost exactly a year later saying he was ready for his eternity with her. They had the best marriage I know and so adding that extra bit is special to me and I believe will add to the "good juju" pile as my FH eloquently puts it lol.

I plan on keeping with this tradition, though i have not completely planned out what each piece will be. My new will be my dress. My something blue will likely be my shoes because blue is one of our wedding colours. My something borrowed may be my mom's pearls or I'm hoping to be able to borrow my FMIL and FFIL's Stefana from their wedding to use (been to shy to ask yet). As for something old, I'm not sure yet, maybe use a piece of my grandma's jewellery

Hi Erika! I like the thought of this tradition and plan to do this tradition, too! I like the idea of taking pretty "getting ready" pictures of and with the different blue, borrowed, new items, as they will be things that are special because of the meaning behind them!

    Unintentionally, I suppose.

Old: My fiancée's wedding ring is an old ring of her mother's. It does look more like an engagement ring than a wedding ring, but it is a gorgeous ring nonetheless. And it's saved us another expense, so thanks, FMIL!

New: Most things. It's easier to assume that most things are either new, or second-hand but purchased specifically for the wedding.

Borrowed: Ummm... we've rented out our lawn games set. That counts, right?

    Blue: The ocean view!

Hi Patti! That's great and means you've already got one part of the tradition down! Smiley laugh

That's so cool that your ring is blue! Very unique! Out of curiosity, is it a sapphire or another diamond alternative?

I will definitely do it because I like the tradition but I haven't put much thought into it yet. I think my something blue will probably be my garter and I suppose my something new is my dress but I don't know about the other two.
