So Im plus size !!! wedding dress shopping !

I second wearing Spanx and a strapless bra! I was really nervous about my appointment and how things would look but I ended up liking a lot of the options I tried on. Also, the bridal salon I went to asks you to specify whether you need a plus size appt which I appreciated because my consultant already knew what to expect and it ensured that they had a selection of available gowns for me to try on. Here are some photos from that day! Also, just try it on despite what it looks like on the hanger, the fit may surprise you! I'm a street size 14 by the way.

My dress is sorta fitted in the mid-section. I'm wearing a shaper and crenaline under this and it still needs to be taken in a bit... but first pictures since sleeves were added and first time posting them!!

I tried on a couple of fitted ones, and the first one was a big contender for a while. Depending on where you go, they might give you a corset to wear while you try stuff on.

I wish I had known about the bridal sizing before so it could have saved me some tears. At my highest weight I was a street size 22-24 and about 5 years ago I underweight major weight loss and consistently workout 4-5 times a week and now am a street size 8-10 so when the bridal sales consultant invoiced me for a size 14 i got super hard on myself until i researched that pretty much everyone has to order 2 sizes up.

Ahhhh. thank you. I actually put a deposit down for Dress 4! but I am having moments of Dress regret lol. I am going back in March to actually place the order for the dress so I might end up changing the style. It's driving me a little crazy!

The first picture is me wearing my gown as soon as it come in. Then last picture is me getting my dress bustled. It’s a size 16W dress with a corset back.
