So IM starting to prepare to go wedding dress shopping this weekend! I have looked up dresses and tried not to fall in loves with any of them. I have started to loose weight and trying to build myself up after some horrible trips to try on dresses.

So I plan to wear new undies and do my hair and makeup so I feel good.

Does anyone have Any other tips ?

Also I really love the fitted gowns and even the fitted gowns on the plus size models.... but im scared to try them on ( Im going with my fiancé family). Does any curvy full figured women have pictures of them in a fitted I think it might help if I saw a real plus sized women in a fitted dress. I tried looking at other forums and couldn't find one.

Try go to stores that stock plus size dresses! It's SO hard to imagine how a tiny dress, pinned to you, will look in your true size.

I actually changed my tiny sampled dress to another, after trying on a true size satin gown. Who knows if I'd have really preferred the original, had it been in a bigger size.

Go to stores that stock plus size!

    Good luck. :-)

Oh PS don't be put off by label sizes. Wedding dresses are notorious for being 2+ sizes smaller than the label! (Surely should be the other way on the most important day of our live's but ay)

I’m not plus size but I’ve heard a number of plus size brides talk about Anomalie. Google them. You can work with them to create your own custom dress. Check them out and see if it’s for you.

If you need a strapless bra, I recommend the Curvy Kate Luxe (they also have a longline/Basque but I've not tried it). I wear it mine for every outfit with a weird neckline. I'm curvy, 30H in their sizing (42-30-45ish) and I'll probably have to get a 16W with a lot of alterations to fit well. I want fitted to show off my curves. Once I go trying I'll post some pics, I've been avoiding that first dress trip 😅 good luck!

I am also plus sized, I found Mori Lee had some amazing plus size dresses that fit my figure really well.

Also along with looking and feeling great, bring the one person whom you know will be honest and knows your style and body shape well and whom you feel most comfortable with. For me that was my mom.!
