Scared i'll cry the whole time!!!!

catherine, on February 9, 2014 at 2:46 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 22

I'm such an emotional person, whenever I attend wedding I always cry. I get emotional from a lot of thing. I can't even seem to be able to choose a father daughter song.... How do I hold my emotions on the big day? Does anyone have tricks haha. I was teasing with my bridesmaids that for the rehearsal I should carry a bouquet of kleenex. ( when I went to look at our first hall for the reception I got overwhelmed and cried cuz it was making everything so real... i'm actually getting married!! I want to be prepared for the ceremony... where do you girls plan on having tissue or kleenex? Do I get my maid of honour to hold some for me? HAHA

I'll have an antique white lace handkerchief (embroidered with my new initials) in my hand behind the bouquet.

Oh Erica I really like that idea! Watching the Olympics I tear up anytime they show proud looking family members, which does not bode well for making it through the ceremony without crying!

I'm definitely investing in a durable-but-nice-looking handkerchief that I'll carry with me down the aisle. I'm also going to let my make-up artist know that I REALLY DO CRY AT EVERYTHING. Like ... everything. Lots of tears. It'll be a miracle if I don't sob the whole time.

Deep breaths and waterproof mascara. It's okay to cry, I'm sure your happy tears will be touching to your guests and most importantly FH(:

I cry over everything as well but I only cried really hard during the vows. The rest of the time I was completely fine. I was just on cloud 9. I thought I would get teary when I did the father-daughter dance but my dad and I had so much fun

FH, my dad, my mom, and I are all criers so the tissues will definitely be passed around! I have no tricks because I know I will just be overwhelmed

maybe think about something irrelevant and happy that doesn't make you cry? idk Smiley sad

At my cousins wedding they put cute kleenex covers at the end of the isle where our grandparents and moms sat. But totally doing the handkerchief thing!

    Totally agree with Laudie!

I'm a big crier also, and figured I'd spend my day blubberign, but I was just so happy and excited during my wedding day that I hardly cried at all. I teared up during the ceremony, but I've been a bigger wreck in the audience of other weddings!

My mom always says that my bladder must be close to my eyes because I cry at everything. My dad is the same way. Its funny though because I cry when I think about things at the wedding and before we got engaged I used to cry thinking about him proposing, but when it happened I was so surprised that the tears didn't come until about 10 minutes later. Everyone knows I'm a crier so I think I'm just going to embrace it!

If you feel ugly cry weepy, try pressing your tongue against the roof off your mouth. It's weird but it works.

I already know I will cry...and my FH will probably quietly snicker the entire time because he already harrasses me about crying all the time. I told him if he didnt cry, I was going to kick him in the shin until he did. hehe Smiley laugh

And I know both my dad and I will be crying during the father/daughter dance because he's a big softy. He cries when he takes me to the airport.

I'm the exact same way, I have cried during this whole process. I really don't have a plan I'm just hoping that when the day is finally here I'm so happy that my tears hold back Smiley smile

Yeah, I cry when I think about any wedding details. I'm hoping that somehow this will mean I won't cry very much the day of the wedding.

Just practice your "non-ugly" cry lol. if you start to tear up, just let them flow. don't try to hold them back, because your face ends up contorting and looking all weird. well, mine does anyway. oh, and of course, waterproof mascara

I lost my dad at a young age so I'm worried that I will be a baby prior to walking down the isle and all the way down. I'm considering doing a first look partially because I heard it makes that enterance a little less emotional.

I was positive I would cry. I cried just picturing our wedding. Then I didn't shed a tear. My sisters, parents, in laws, step daughter all cried. Not me. I didn't cry until I hugged my best friends mom after. He was deployed and she came in his place. That made me bawl.

I cry over really small things, so I googled it a long time ago. Something I read said that it's much more difficult to cry if you smile. So now, whenever I'm mad about something and feel the urge to cry, I smile instead. It might look weird, but so far it's worked about half the time for me.
