Rehearsal dinner @ restaurant- Did you decorate?

I have been to several rehearsal dinners held in restaurants and I can honestly say none of them had wedding decorations.

Cate's ILs had nice centerpieces on each table, but I think it was part of the package. They had the RD at the restaurant of the reception venue.

If you are the one that has to make the decorations, I would not add another job to your huge list.

I have never seen deco at a rehersal dinner. Lighten your load.

Yeah, we didn't decorate-- skip it.

I've never seen decorations either. I know you will probably be busy right before, I say don't worry about it! Where did you decide to do yours again? We are doing it at the Vig Uptown.

No, the restaurant put some flowers on the tables and that was nice. But we totally would have done it without any decor. Don't add more stress and expense now, I really don't think it matters :-)

Thanks ladies, we were leaning on not doing it, thanks for the reassurance that decorating the space is not the norm/necessary.

Courtney- I am jealous. The Vig is such a pretty space! We are doing it at Abuelo's by Arrowhead.

Oh that's right!! I remember going there with you and Jason once. I've never seen their banquet facilities--but thats a pretty place! I wouldn't think it would need decor!

I would like to take credit for the Vig, but Mike's fam came up with that one. They put you on that outside area with your own bar and everything. I am excited! That used to be a bank of america branch.

We did not decorate the restraunt had flowers on the tables. I agree with all the above ladies to skip it and save your money.

I always considered a rehearsal dinner as the calm before the storm. So much happens on the day of the wedding. It's a more casual and relaxing thank you. Like the other ladies, I'v never seen decorations for the rehearsal.

My daughters MIL put on the RD. She sprinkled some confetti on the tables and put rubber ducky bride and groom toys on their table.

It actually never occurred to me! Although we had it at a nice buffet with other people in the room, we had a large table in the back though.
