Reception speeches can be incredibly touching and moving, but also sometimes awkward and embarrassing! Smiley xd Are you planning on having the traditional toasts at your wedding reception?

Are you doing or ditching reception speeches?

Yes we are doing toasts but limited time and designated people. We are thinking 2 minutes for each person and we have 4 people. So max hopefully will be 10 minutes for everyone.

Ditching. I hated it in school when I would get called out to answer in front of the class or even doing class projects. So I don’t want to make anyone uncomfortable lol. FH and I will probably do a toast just thanking everyone for coming.

Yes we are doing toasts. But they do not have to be long. We told our MOH and BM they didn't have but both want to do short ones.

Most definitely. My dad is a fantastic speaker and story teller. I want to give a toast as well thanking everyone for being a part of our big day.

Ditched! There were unprompted speeches and toasts at our couples shower though.

Yes to toasts. Will either have 3-4. I'm so looking forward to my man of honor (brother's) speech

We haven't decided that yet. It depends a little on whether my FH's brother will be able to make it to the wedding!

As an elopement is winning over a traditional wedding, I'm gonna say ditch.

We haven't decided yet. If people would like to make a toast we wont stop them but I don't want to force anyone to give a toast if they are not comfortable.

    Doing!

My fiance and I are even leaving it up to the whole wedding party (Maid of Honor is a bit nervous, so to make her more comfortable, we thought we'd help her out with a few other outgoing members.)
