It's just over a week since we have been married. We got home from our honeymoon on Thursday, and our pics got blogged today. Overall the day could not have gone any better, there were a couple stressful moments like my husband sitting in sap during pics before the ceremony, him losing his phone, but it all got resolved and once it was time for the ceremony to start the day/night was perfect.

Destination wedding in South Lake Tahoe, venue was The Landing Resort and Spa and they were FANTASTIC. I strongly recommend them for any wedding or even a vacation, we had a gorgeous room that overlooked the lake for the week leading up to the wedding.
28 guests invited with 22 yes RSVPs and 22 in attendance.
Total budget came in at 18,900 for the wedding and another 6k for the honeymoon and about 3k for random spending while in Lake Tahoe. We thought we would be way below that for such a small destination wedding, but top notch vendors were very important to us, and then adding in all the travel expenses really add up.
Flights and wedding week hotel (we also paid for my moms as she is disabled and lives with us): 3,800
Photography and video: 5,800
Dress, tux, alterations: 1,090
Rental car: 200
Favors/ officiant/ invitations, other random expenses: 1k
We splurged on venue, photo and video and I would splurge on those things a million times over. I haven't seen the video yet, but he was fantastic to work with and his other videos are lovely, so I have no doubt ours will be. Photos are just stunning, and I cant wait to see the entire disc worth, they work absolute magic and are just a blast to have around.
We saved some money on cake, used Nothing Bundt Cakes and it was delicious. My dress was technically a bridesmaid dress and was only $400 with $200 for alterations, it would have been less but I lost 40 lbs from buying it to wedding time, and bought his suit on black Friday from Macy's. I did my own hair and makeup and I was super happy with that decision, I enjoyed my time getting ready that morning so much. Got invitations on Etsy for under $200 for the whole suite already addressed.
We still saved on the DJ, but had booked a cheaper one and it backfired because we had to find a new one the week before, but who we ended up with was fantastic.
I had a cutout of our dog made on Etsy and it was the best surprise for my groom ever. I am so glad we did a destination with our closest family and friends, we rented a boat, did hot air balloon rides, and just spend so much quality time with everyone leading up to the day. The ceremony was beautiful, and I worried with such a small group that there wouldn't be dancing and the dance floor was packed all night.
Truly one of the happiest days of my life!
