Photographer advice

When meeting with a photographer what are some topics that should be covered in your meeting? We are meeting with a family friend who is a photographer in a few weeks. We want to make it clear that yes you are our friend but in this case she will be our employee.

Even though it's a friend of yours, definitely get a signed contract. Include the number of hours they will be taking photos, the number of photos you can expect to receive, the time frame in which you will receive the photos, deposit amount, total amount to be paid, when payment is due by, etc. All of the same things you would ask a photographer who you didn't already know. It's not typically recommended to use friends as vendors (since they have to work your wedding), but it can work out if everyone is on the same page.

Exactly what Lisa said! That is a perfect breakdown of what should be included. Put everything in writing (or type it up) to have some form of contract where both parties sign it. Smiley smile
